@@TheLordexilius If you take it literally, then yes. But it is simply an observation for a kingdom prosperity. The quality of a music depends on the people making it, and people listening to it. When a kingdom is well governed, the people could dedicate their time to pursue artistic paths instead of survivals. When a kingdom is peaceful and prosperous, the people could enjoy arts and music for leisure.

@@TheLordexilius Ancient Chinese is lost in translation. The word 樂 actually represents authority, because the most ancient musical instruments belong to the ruling royalty only. What Confucius said was actually judging a kingdom by how well their governance system goes.

I'm sure living in a time period that a guy can order you beheaded at anytime is fun.

I sort of disagree, the diplomacy is rather just cheap and all you need to do is press "Make this work!" Button and suddenly an entire faction becomes your vassal with all you had to is just pay 315 cash. The units are also quite annoying unlike other total war games where you can just create an army without the need of a general, I just want battles where the generals don't interfere in the battle at all. The morale system is also a little scuffed in my opinion, I'm more used to morale systems in Shogun 2 for example where units don't route much often making micro-managing a lot more easier. It's also sad that armies are generally only around 1k-2k at most where in previous total war games you can have over 3k. However I will say this, it's probably one of the more detailed total war game. A lot of research was placed into the game and tiny little fun facts that you may not know about like the lyrics from the osts coming from poems and ancient chinese literature, small little lines of text, and even the modelling of the buildings resembles how ancient chinese buildings used to be built like.

I feel like TK is more of a roleplay game meant to be played with friends, there's a lot of rather useless diplomacy systems placed into the game that most of the times you wouldn't really use. But is added anyways to create depth and realistic diplomacy.

If they've supported the modders in this game, the modders could've created a shogun 3 mod for three kingdoms. :(

Yeah, agreed. My favourite's are Troy and 3k. Legitimately beautiful games. Something about that ancient greek/chinese aesthetic that is very satisfying.

3K is a dynamic RPG in disguise. Takes a lot of cues from Fire Emblem. It managed to extract a sense of personal investment from me.

Three Kingdoms is by far the most different game from the rest of the series so that isn't surprising.

yeah i jumped from napoleon to three kingdoms and holy cow. just the replayability this game has kills every TW for me.

The sound reminds me of where my forefathers came from 5 generations ago from Yanbian, China and Hamgyong, Korea. I am Korean by roots, but the song reminds me of east asia. Sorry I dont know how to speak Hangul nor Korean, though i am a Koryo Saram from Uzbekistan...

@@RandyOrlok If you mean the sword and board wielding fellow, that is some artwork for Myth: The Fallen Lords (and Myth 2 as well). The unit type was the Warrior, and I still think that was one of Bungie's most entertaining games. Whoever did the artwork was quite good at it, and the soundtrack had some clever stuff on it too. Old game though, mid to late 90s. If you like Real Time Tactics, it might be worth taking a look at some gameplay on KZfaq.

There is so much you could do with this game since it is about alternative history you could just add the northern tribes wich later became the Mongols and let them unite early and raide china or you could add some hun tribes in the west of China that go pillage some stuff and if ca wants to stick to east Asia than there are many Chinese time periods that could be covered like Japanese invasion Korea or the autumn period but i personally think they should stick to three kingdoms China and add Korea, Mongols and maby even Japan even tho that's unlikely

Don't know if you saw it but Nanman DLC officially confirmed there could be trailers or something about it pretty soon. I'm pretty excited.
