The ball was literally returned a couple of feet from the guy and the server couldn't even get a racket on it

If you listened to the commentator, the serve was a 125 mph, the return was 130

Blake forehand was a return from service, he just used the other guy's power, it has no place in this compilation.
@MYSTICWOLFZOMBIE3 жыл бұрын
@@thefridgeman I am late for this, but fridgeman, how many people have you seen that have done this? because i sure haven't seen anything the likes of that. Your utter lack of admiration for blake on that return is almost an offense. Besides blake hits power shots like these all the time, i was actually visibly annoyed that del portro made the list several times and Blake only got one. Also returning a serve with that amount of power is almost guaranteed out, but Blake just overpowers it completely.

It was the easiest to hit hard. Mid court high ball. Del potro has same speed but awkward positions. Different gravy

Most frustrating thing about him is he could ping the ball on the forehand side but tried to grind out points too long and made more errors

@@aheslam93 its not awkward position for him. its ideal for him to have a relatively low ball a lot further away from his body due to that technique and body of his. he's hit them countless times.

@FutHDChannel4 жыл бұрын

Gonzalez still to this day has the highest average FH speed for a year at 90mph, and has the most FH over 105mph. Scary thing is he was smaller than all these guys shown barely 6ft and weighed 175lb, Blake the closest to his size was 6'1 185lb.
@jorgeandrescoppiano.57152 жыл бұрын
@@razgriz1ne1ne48 one heck of a difference. Shows the guy was made of iron. He wasn’t only about easy balls close to the net, or using the return of serve, but generated his own power. He hit hammer after hammer.

1:44 - they DO NOT show the speed of any other strokes than serves! Thus, the speed of 120 mph was the speed of the last serve performed by Djokovic. Actually, it was on the screen BEFORE del Potro hit the ball (at 1:33). The same with Blake at 2:25

@TOXRaizou Жыл бұрын
@@eminakaratas11 I'd suggest you to watch closely. Or maybe we don't have the same definition of grip. Because Monfils definitely uses a semi western forehand grip. Eastern Grip is more like Del potro, or (kind of) Verdasco. Fritz, Kyrgios, Sock can easily rip that forehand aswell when they use their western grip (In the video, kyrgios use a semi western grip though, but i've definitely seen him using a western grip).

@@ToomcioZioomcio There`s nothing truly official - Hawk eye is only accurate to 5 mm, and -+1mph - Gps satellites 3 feet , a car +- 1 mph at best , a police radar gun +- 1 mph , the £20000 ibm radar at the us open +- 1mph . makes me think of something Nikola from Intuitive Tennis frequently says: when it comes to power on groundstrokes, you're really not transferring your weight forward, or into the court. Case in point the fastest forehand of all time, Monfils is 100% falling backwards, and generates all power from rotation.
