In 2020 we couldn’t have ever imagined the unimaginable.
But many people have continued documenting
the beauty of the world,
the anguish of empty cities,
the fear which has become hope.
In times like these, there are people who don't need words;
for them, a camera and imagination are enough to overcome
anxiety,
isolation,
loneliness,
despair.
We have asked them to do what their talent makes possible: imagine.
Imagine being part of a family
with many different faces,
various cultures,
eyes able to see the world in different ways.
This year we must leave our theater empty,
yet it is still filled with the desire to reward your imagination once more.
Thanks to imagination, we can continue speaking through pictures about:
the vastness of space,
the contradictions of humanity,
the dangerous
yet sublime
presence of humans on Earth.
Worldwide photographers, keep imagining.
