@misa smith Well, yeah there are bands like the oral cigarettes that sound like the Japanese billie talent, but there are also bands like necry talkie and polkadot stingray which dont sound like anything you would ever hear in the west. Necry talkie is way too cutesy to go mainstream in the west, and polkadot stingray has an excessive amount of complexity in their lead guitar, something ive come to recognize as a Japanese trait to rock. If you looked into it, j-rock is its on genre of music, so theres literally no way you can say you havent heard a Japanese style in music.

They actually have a alot of albums out something like 15+ I think, buts usual alot of Japanese bands like these dont get alot of mainstream coverage outside of japan
