Been a fan since I first heard KISS. My cousin brought Destroyer to my house and I was hooked. Alive 2 was my first KISS album I bought and I never looked back. Peter Criss is the reason I became a drummer. 10,000 Volts is a banger. Long live the Space Ace.

All of them were the true spirit of Kiss until the late 70's. Although they were pretty good in the early 80's too. Creatures is one of their best albums. Revenge and even Carnival of Souls are the only good records after that.

Ace is a good guitar player but not a good or competent composer. Never was, although songs like "Shock Me" or "Cold Gin" or the 1978 solo album were written under different circumstances, when he was young and hungry. I prefer the Ace of KISS.

This is def one of my favorite Ace albums he’s ever put out. I love the heavier guitars! So happy for him! I was actually one of the first few people that were in on the secret of him putting out an album. It was so hard to not tell people. But I’m so happy for him and to hear the results is just so breathtaking. I can’t wait to meet him again in June. For everyone who doesn’t believe me my mom’s highschool friend grew up with ace and got me connected with him. Ace and Lara have both told me my art is hanging up in their house. Ace has been a big influence on me since I was little, so to be so connected with him within the last few years has been such a huge honor

@@studio-flash I don't think it's gonna happen, he is a little long in the tooth to change up anything now. He is what he is and while some groups have changed for the sake of change...I think he has remained true to his Identity "warts and all". He is still classic Ace Frehley. To be honest I wasn't a big fan of the keyboard EVH. He lost some of his edge and basically became a "where will I place a whammy bar tap lead" in this song. It became redundant in some cases. Still loved his guitar work but it got diluted along the way.

First concert I saw was KISS Animalize way back in the day! In 2001 I think got front row tix for the Greenville SC show! I got Ace’s autographed cup he drank out of & a guitar pick!!! Damn good Nite! Thanx ACE for all the music & memories!! Yeah the smoking guitar was a highlight!

It's very telling that Ace has been far more prolific in recent years than Kiss has been since, well...the early 90s at least. Don't get me wrong, I actually have a lot of love for Kiss, but compared to Ace their creative well ran dry years ago.

10,000 HELL YEAHS. I used to stare at ACE FRELEYS picture when I was a small child and think the was not only the coolest member of KISS. He was the COOLEST ROCKSTAR IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE. I was right then and now. LoL!!!!

Two days ago I stood at the south west corner of W23 and 8th Ave early am, not a soul around. I thought of you guys standing right there for the Dressed to Kill album cover photo and then I looked north up 8th Ave towards Madison Square Garden. I could feel the weight of the decades past.. I will watch this video now. Thank you Ace, for all the memories.

Love the fact that he is doing Rock Music, I'm not comparing it to Kiss, but rock in general. A simple song, very well produced, simple solo with his signature that sounds pretty cool! Hell yeah! And his voice sounds exactly the same always (pure gold).

One of my favourite guitar players ever, I always loved his voice and funny enough is the only vocal in kiss that didn’t age at all he sounds the same, great song ! ACE ❤

That's a great point. Even as I was avoiding listening to recent KISS live because the damage to Paul's voice makes me sad, I was failing to notice that Ace sounds like it's still 1978!

And there are numerous numerous singer's that sound very good in their 70's. Tommy Shaw, Roger Daltry, Paul Rodgers, Steven Tyler, Alice Cooper, Jack Blades, Joe Lynn Turner, Graham Bonnet, etc. and so on. Ace in his 20's couldn't sing like these guys in their 70's.

Ace has to me always been the most musically talented of the original KISS members who played stringed instruments, Ace was also always a true artist. Gene is a master marketer, Paul is a great frontman but Ace is the true musical genius.

Ok, here we go. I love Kiss and always will. The thing about ACE is that he can move forward and still come out with great music. Kiss rides the same trian, which I guess works for them, but I do like to hear new material, which ACE does. He keeps it fresh so you can enjoy the classics as well.

I love the production on Ace's new song - it is crisp, and evenly mixed. It's heavy in the classic rock sense, yet has a pop feel to it too. Steve Brown & Co have certainly brought the best out of Ace. What a team! Keep on Rockin'.

I feel like crystal clear production and auto tune is falling out of favor and that the record would have benefited significantly if the production team had recorded the album on tape instead of digitally. Fact is, that magic first Ace record was recorded on tape, as was every classic Kiss album. Those songs were the best, and part of that was the production of that era. Someone needs to talk to Ace.

@@salcorbit6330 Could not have said it better. Why do these aging rockers go heavy on the auto-tune vocals, copy/pasted measures, and beat correction? It's WAY too slick and it takes the magic out of rock.

@@speedfreakjive8843 Part of it is a desire to stay relevant and part of it is just not understanding that particular element of what made their original music so good in the first place. If Ace was recording on tape today, with a distinctly lower fidelity sound, that would blow people’s minds. But the people in the studios are often not fans in the truest sense and the ones who do the production right are on smaller niche record labels who like to use tape and the older ways.

I used to go see him all of the time in Detroit. Tickets would be $10-15 and he rocked and his band was always incredible. Around the same time in the early to mid 90s I decided to go see an Ace-less KISS. It cost me over $100 and was frankly boring. Saw them again on their first reunion tour with Ace in Tiger Stadium it was the first show of the tour with Alice In Chains opening and was a great show. Saw Billy Corgan in the Audience he was in town for a Pumpkins show with Garbage the next day at the Palace that I had tickets for. Just a killer rock and roll weekend

I love me some Ace, but I'm not sure he "made" the band back in the day. They all made the band. Nobody would have had a solo career that even touched the success of the band. Ace was as important as any of the other 3. No more, no less.
