Totally agree, but a great start . You can only bowl at what is infrint off you .. Glen mccgath went for 120 for no wickets in his first test. He just looked comfortable bowling .. with the conditions Anderson should have ripped them too bits .. 7 wickets in your first game cannot be knocked . I can't imagine how he is feeling ! A dream come true for a debutant.

Because of climate, England is cold climates country and India is hot climate country but in Dharmshala stedium and Eden Garden stedium have good climate and conditions for Test cricket hope you understand.

Cricket has gone down rapidly. Players like gus atkinson have been warming bench for 1 and half year. Even in worldcup 23 they gave him only 2-3 matches or even less if I remember correctly. He along with tongue,wood and archer should be the mainstay in english side be it t20,odi or test. They must be a part of longer formats. You see why I kept backing gus atkinson. Today he proved he is really worth it. ❤

Cmmon, England is suffering from injuries of their premium fast bowlers in red ball for years now. Mahmood was a great prospect who swings the ball miles but is injured for ages, same for Olly Stone who too is injured for ages now Guys Atkinson has risen in ranks in past year or so, he wasn't warming benches, he wasn't in the picture even, and England have good pacers, the quality was never a concern for England, it's just their fitness Also, they need someone like Wood who clicks 88 miles or more, to get some variation in their bowling line up. So, no need to give sensationalised comments like quality of cricket has gone down

I think england needs to have separate core of fast bowlers for red ball cricket and white ball cricket. Woakes, Atkinson, Pennington, Tongue, Potts, Sam cook for test matches. Archer, John Turner, brydon carse, George scrimshaw, Sam Curran, reece topley, Luke wood for limited overs. Because fast bowlers are injury prone, so having different core teams will be good for managing their workload.

No there’s isn’t 😂. The ball is swinging a lot because it’s overcast, dark and cloudy which means the margin of error is small which is why the Ball tracking is missing leg

Sad for Andreson he should get this full series 😢😢😢 why management put him on pressure he got only 1wkt in 1st innings 😢😢 it's not correct time for Andreson to retire He can play 1 more year and Ashes

I think it’s more his decision. He has said that he feels that he is still bowling well, but if you have to go, an Englishman will want to go at Lords. Also, Anderson has always been a team player. Certainly he’d like to carry on, but he’ll also be aware that England need to prepare their quicks for the Ashes. Wood, Woakes, Atkinson now and (dare I whisper it) Archer will all need quality time at the crease.
