Looked like the car stopped short at first due to an automatic braking feature, then when the railcar axles cleared, the car saw room under the railcar for it to move up a little further (this time underneath the hopper car) before stopping again. I'm not an expert, but the driver seemed to have been incapacitated based on the car's movements.

Looks like a medical emergency maybe how there was no reaction from the driver at all, no brake application, car remained in drive and eventually drove itself out of there.
