Evo won where it matters, catching people slipping on a roll 🚀 Goes to show big hp isn’t everything 📈 And for those who don’t understand how power to weight works, Google/KZfaq is your friend 😅 The R8 also just came of a back to back race from another battle so will have been heat soaked like mad. Taking noting from Sam, the fastest car won on the day 100%, even id prefer the evo 😂

700bhp consistently vs 1000bhp peak, the evos gearing makes it an absolute supercar killer, along with someone willing to shift it like he stole it. Great races 💣

@@elpatron1010 they hit 1000bhp pretty easily with the turbo conversions. Up to 12/1300 when properly tuned, it’s not too wild a figure for them - but the difference in peak power and power to weight is what we see here where the evo is in its peak powerband at every point.

@@elpatron1010this car may well have 1000hp and just not working great that day, or “should” have that amount. These engines with turbos are capable of 900-1000bhp on a pretty safe map. Obviously turboing engines that are NA as standard comes with its pitfalls. But genuinely the more happens here than u can see - 1000bhp is peak power, the Audi won’t make that 100% of the way down the strip. The evo on the other hand has just such a short gearbox it will be pretty much in the peak power band all the way down a 1/4 strip.

Amazing race. Friendly drivers + amazing cars + OG !!! Everytime I would go with this tuned Evo 8. I am a fan of old school cars with enough power and manual transmissions. By my own, I drive a tuned and weight reduced BMW 330D (E46). Also with a manual transmission. This Evo 8 against Affy's GTR would be next level 😁 I would also join the OG battles, but I am from Germany. Sadly to far away. Best regards Chris

What an absolute vibe that entire video was! Amazing cars, great driving skill from the evo (no offence to Anton but the evo requires a little more skill) and crazy result! Also 4.68 sec 100-200 for a 740 hp manual evo is nuts! Hats off to that!

The new Hoonigan crew planning This vs That could take some notes from your OG battles. The matchups on here are so much better thought out that what This vs That has been over most of the past year. We're trying to see various different cars race that stand a chance against each other...not completely uneven crap that we already know the outcome of. And this was one of those top tier matchups! You have 2 cars that are quite different in all of their specs, yet they are putting down times that are nearly identical. Keep up the great work!
