From Married With Children, Season 7 Episode 9, 'Rock Of Ages'. When his paycheck is taken by bill collectors, Al decides to do something with his non-life: he enters a shoe-selling contest and wins. The prize is a first-class ticket to Hawaii which the family turns into four standbys.

About Married with Children:
The less-than-lovable Bundys are a radical departure from the saccharine-sweet TV families popular since the days of Father Knows Best. With offbeat humor and unflinching honesty, Married... paints a more realistic picture of middle-class existence, warts and all. Al Bundy (Ed O'Neill) is a shoe salesman who is fond of frequently reliving his doubtful 15 seconds of fame on the football field. Al is terrified of the all-too-frequent amorous advances of his ditsy wife Peggy (Katey Sagal), who spends most of Al's wages at the salon and the mall. They have two teenage kids: stunning but superficial party animal Kelly (Christina Applegate) and egocentric Bud (David Faustino). Married for 16 semi-blissful years, Peggy and Al have found that the secret to a happy marriage is to accept one another's idiosyncrasies.

Spoiler: Pedal buys a lot of the shoes and leaves. Al wins the contest and gets a trip to Hawaii. Honestly, this is just the opener. The actual episode takes place at the airport.

Well, you can't. Same with "Frasier", "Seinfeld", "Newsradio", "Fresh Prince"... the 90s were awesome ("MwC" started in 87 but it is a 90s sitcom). Look around you, look at writers and actors on strike now... HoIIywood wasn't so miserable in the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s. Watch "Becker", same thing: he takes shots at Republicans, Democrats, PC culture, uneducated society, the cast is perfect, Ted Danson nailed the character, the writing is great and it lasted for six seasons. TV is not allowed to be that vitriolically fair anymore.

@@raghost15The writers inserted Katey Sagal's real life pregnancy into the show but unfortunately she suffered a miscarriage... this season with Seven was supposed to be the season with the added new character originated from Katey's pregnancy. I have no idea why it happened but to question the cast's decision to "go along with it" is the dumbest thing in the world: I've seen people questioning the writers, the network but this is a first. 🤌

Yes season 6 they wrote in Katey's pregnancy. She had her stillborn daughter which is why they wrote the dream into the episode shoeless Al. Then this season they added Seven because there was supposed to be a third child. I think they wanted to see the fans reaction if there was another Bundy.
