Aunque también es posible (y algo aceptado entre missólogos) que después del back to back de Venezuela en 2008 y 2009, la organización hizo pagar caro a las 2 miss venezuelas siguientes pues en 2010 Venezuela no clasificó y en 2011 la dejaron pegada en top 16, además de que Vanessa cuenta que el staff prácticamente nunca la volteaban a ver
