Wow! What a truly incredible cover that sent me right back to my personal best nostalgic area. That opening bit took an exceedingly long time to edit, so if you understood the reference, let me know in the comments so I know my work is appreciated!
A little bit of extra things to credit this time:
All jokes and characters from the opening bit belong to Roosterteeth productions kzfaq.info/get/bejne/b7RofNOptJzWe6c.html
The small bit of actual Halo theme in the video comes from here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ZtCIh6VyrNydioU.html
Do I need to credit bird sounds if I use them? Idk, let's cover my butt just in case kzfaq.info/get/bejne/kNammLpm09bYm3k.html

Geoff hits a B0 and Eli hits a G5. Doesn't get better than this. Of course, that's what I said when they did Hoist the Colours too. LOL Scott was the original beatboxer with VoicePlay so the red team/blue team was going to happen in there somewhere.

The fact that the original composer saw this and had his jaw dropped is just expanding the legend of Voice Play and Geoff. Eli hits an A5 too in this one, it's definitely a rare piece of music - one of those that will be talked about and analyzed by vocalists / teachers and others alike.

This one is super nostalgic for me too. Not as a gamer (I literally only played this game once, and I died in less than five minutes. My brother threw an X-Box controller at me and expected a Gameboy Color player to know what to do with it.), but because the tv and game console was right outside my bedroom, so I fell asleep hearing this theme most nights all through middle school and high school as my brother and dad played this almost nightly. I used to be able to identify which game in the series and their kills (Elite, grunt, etc) by sound alone.

when you were talking about getting visual replacement from the audio cues; i get that. sometimes, when i'm at work i can listen to my ipod, and a song will come on and i'll be counting stuff out at work but somehow not be doing that consciously, because my eyes are no longer being seen with my conscious brain, but i still have a number after the song ends and i come back into the room at work and if i double-check my counting i somehow have the correct number. it's nuts. but, yeah, anyway, songs take me places too (also smells, but only for, like, a couple seconds). also, never be ashamed of showing how into something you are, it's awesome. i'm not into halo, i've never played it, or even seen a playthrough of it i don't think. i don't actually know what it's about. but, i love this song just as much as songs they've done which i liked even before their version. and seeing how into it you are is inspiring and cool, like you even brought your ties into it, that's amazing! you're making me smile so hard rn

Your video's always make me smile, such pure joy in your reaction. I think this really brought us all back to younger years watching red vs. blue and it's insane how much of an impact a game can have in the social fabric of a generation. The only thing I was disappointed by though was you seemed to miss Caesars overtone singing at 1:10 (time marker is refering to original VoicePlay video), it's layered just before that amazing high note from Ely but only one reactor that I've seen so far has commented on it. Don't get me wrong, I fangirl over Geoff every time (that B0 was INSANE) and Ely has been doing some amazing things on the high end but, Caesar I think really outdid him self here and I love that the group now has both subharmonics and overtone. I can see them doing some really unique stuff and they have definitely stepped things up to another level in the last couple of months.

It's great you watched. However, you missed the commentary for which I think you would have enjoyed knowing you were among other Halo fans (VoicePlay). It's such a great tribute to one of their own (Rek Dunn). It also shows pictures of him with Scott & Voiceplay on tour. It explains why they did it & were very familiar with the theme. Possibly add an edit once you listen to the commentary? Scott is one of the founding members. Yes he was the original beat boxer which showed in the 'red team/blue team' section, that was him & Layne. In fact. Layne had to learn to cover his spot. His main focus now is acting. He was in Friday Night Lights, The Good Wife, Hart of Dixie, Scorpion & Lucifer along with movies, episodic TV (Law & Order among others) as well having done voiceovers for multiple video games.

There's always something about your first video game that just stays with you forever (mine was Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy 12). Loved your reaction. ❤️❤️ Have you seen them do the chicken song or Roadtrip? They're fun! Happy New Year 🥳🥂 PS I would like to see you see the outro. It's a huge part of the song.

I did road trip recently on the channel! Chicken song is still on the list for the future though :)
