I really love this version of Doc Oc. She is a villain, guided by her curiosity. The science comes first. She doesn't want to kill B. Parker as soon as she sees him, instead she is more interested and thriving that her experiment worked, if so differently than expected. One scene, that won't leave my head is at 9:05 where she looks with awe and interest at the new Spider that just showed up, like "holy, I managed to bring another one?! That's amazing!"

I am obsessed with the Tentacle design here. Instead of the being metal and mechanical like other arms, it’s more tube like. It gives a better octopus aesthetic and allows for more fluid and terrifying movements. Honestly it’s the best Doc Ock design

I think it’s more that the gender swap was used as a twist, and has diegetic meaning since Peter didn’t imagine Doc Oc to be female there. But I don’t think you NEED to have all that to warrant a gender swap. Dune gender swapped Kynes, and it was fine by me. But a lot of people got upset. For nothing really.

the first Spiderverse movie will always be the best one. it has such a special place in my heart, and this movie literally changed animation. so many other studios now try to mimic this exact style. truly amazing

i think the second one is better is many areas, but the fact it isnt a full story stops it being better than this one. and if they keep up the quality of these two movies, this would easily be the best spierman trilogy. maybe one of the best trilogys in general

I notice that i actually still kinda prefer the first movie's direction and the way they told the story while the 2nd movie was stull unique in its own way just that that one explored more of the other universe animation style non stop approach while this one felt like the most comic book movie ever made , also the animation style in this movie felt a bit cleaner and smoother while the 2nd one felt more sketch-y and hand drawn .

He used his gargantuan schlong as a pole to perform a pole vault. He then used this momentum to be able to scale the building. They couldn’t show it in the film otherwise it would’ve been an r rated movie so I guess it’s fine that they cut it out

i didn’t read any comics, but i find it interesting how he says “spider-man doesn’t wear a cape” and in the new movie, Miguel wears a cape and gives off extremely sus vibes. Like how he has like fangs and claws and shit, it would be amazing forshadowing if 2099 ends up being something other than spider-man since he wears a cape. I think i’m onto something here

If you do end up reading the comics, I'm afraid your theory will be debunked. With the sole exception of his webs being made out of hard-light, a change made to better reflect the futuristic nature of his world, each of his abilities and characteristics are completely accurate to the comics, as he got his powers after 50% of his DNA was altered to that of a spider's.
