Love the way after this, Wright went to Milton Keynes for the pro tour and smashed everyone up including a 120+ average against Rob Cross to win the title.

It was great. I remember, Peter gave an interview after this match expressing how he was "disappointed, but on to MK." Boom. (Although he beat Gurney in the final, not Cross)

Because each player must score 501 points ending on a double to win the leg.?🙃

501, because it forces the player to use the whole board. If you would start at 500, players would probably throw constantly at the 20 segment only. With 501 points to erase they are forced to use the 19's, 18's, Bullseye etc..
