listening to gangnam style led me to have more tolerance for korean things, which made me listen to kpop and then watch korean dramas, and eventually watch running man which led me to an article about jae suk and realizing he was in gangnam style. i've made a full 360.

I don't know about other countries but in Korea, when a new song is going to be released, they usually release teasers before that to build up hype. It's like watching a trailer for a movie and you sometimes feel excited and want to watch the full show. Same thing for new Korean songs.
