That's a drop in the bucket compared to all the times Fred threw a wrench into Lamont's plans just so he could have his way. He even tried to sabotage Grady's wedding for fear Grady wouldn't spend more time with him. He was really just a selfish old man.

Lamont would have had a ruined life if that would of been me. I would of politely, and respectfully asked him one time to quit talking while I enjoyed my meal. If he didn't, he would of ended up with a fork jammed into one of his hands. This is the only time that I have watched a Sanford and Son show that made me angry. Usually brings out laughter out of me - but something about somebody running their mouth at the dinner table just doesn't work for me if it is in my home.
