This is the contest where Eddie Hall won his 5th British title in a row.
The reigning Britain’s Strongest Man - Eddie Hall came into 2018 having just won the World’s Strongest man title 6 months before.
GrahamHicks was on the rise and had been 2nd twice to Eddie,
And The Beast had sustained a severe hip injury after winning the World’s Strongest Man in 2017 in Botswana. But wanted one more title in front of his fans in Britain
To win the BSM 2018 title, Hall had to keep his injury under control and try to beat the likes of Graham Hicks and 11 other World Class strongmen for a record 5th title
It was to be Hall's final full strongman contest, and he made strength history! …
A record 5th title was more than any other British athlete since the BSM TV debut in the 1970s.

I love Eddie and I'm NOT doubting he was injured to some degree but I honestly feel he over hyped the injury for 2 reasons, first to show how well he can do while hurt and secondly as an excuse if he were to lose.

@@mattger9260 it's not so much what he's achieved. He's done what he wanted to do, but sometimes it seems like he can barely hide his contempt for the people around him. I have massive respect for him, he's just not for me these days. Oh and he was still fairly humble even after his 500, even after wsm. It was only when he retired and became the not as big I am that his personality changed and he became the brash mouthpiece we so often see these days. I really do enjoy these recaps/mini-documentaries. If possible, it would be really cool if y'all could give a a running total on points after each event. That would help give us a better idea of the stakes and help us understand when the athletes make strategic decisions, like when Eddie didn't bother to attempt the 5th log press. Those sorts of decisions are absolutely part of the sport.
