Offshore flight with my favorite colleague "Jean" AKA "Bro" and me in the right seat (Pilot Flying). I have a new audio recorder and it seems to work very well. Struggling still a bit with editing and cutting.. But at least I enjoy the process :-)

I am not a helicopter pilot, but having flown in a few; civvie and military, it seems to me that these guys spent a vast amount of the first section of this flight with eyes inside and not scanning outside....just my observation from an amateur perspective. I've done lots of fixed wing GA flying over the years and whilst I fully understand the complexity and huge differences here, it seems both crew just don't keep a good scan going, especially while in the area of the airfield and circuit....? Great vid though.....I love helicopters!!

OMG it's amazing to see a full flight! Thanks man this is a really important for me! The Communications and Aurals hears great. At 10:53 you decrease the IAS Mode with Beep Trim, below what speed does the HDG Mode auto deactivate? At 11:03 all AFCS Modes are deactivated because you pressed FD STBY on the cyclic, or did you drop below a minimum speed? And if is the second, what speed is it? Thanks again for your videos, they are a huge help to me, THANK YOU!!!! 🙏
@helichrisPA28

Hi! Thanks for your nice comment! Indeed when decreasing the IAS wiht the beep trim the HDG mode comes in at 40kts. (depending on the software phase of the helicopter) when we land or maneuver visual before landing we press the FD STBY indeed.

@helichrisPA28
@helichrisPA28 Ай бұрын
