And it’s only getting increasingly frustrating with the US states, many of them are not honoring it, foreign tax treaties, making it impossible for anybody to leave, unless you’re rich.

The only interesting question is: Which DTAs deviate from the OECD standard model and give you some room to maneuver?

The only way to optimize your taxes 100% legal is to move to other country. The other ways are either illegal or grey zone at best.
@OffshoreCitizen
@OffshoreCitizen Жыл бұрын
Not accurate. There is tons of legal tax planning for the right circumstances remaining in your country. There are lots of rules to be aware of and navigate but it's not illegal or Grey. As far as deviating from the tax treaties. Most of the time tax treaties aren't the factor in legal international tax optimization it's about the substance.

Hard to tell if this is the right platform for this. But ill try anyways as this is still considered business. Given the present conditions, is it better to invest into Real Estates or into Stocks? Which would yield better output.
@hendrixansel9750

Real estate is for upper/elite class. Stocks is for low/working class. Based on this you can make your own decision.

This is nonsense quite the opposite of you look at the net worth allocations high real estate % is more a sign of lower wealth vs higher wealth. This being said there's nothing inherent about real estate or stocks that has anything to do with wealth levels. My answer would be real estate markets tend to trail stock markets by 12 to 24 months. Stocks dropped massively real estate hasn't been nearly so hit right now. So in most markets I'd be more inclined to expect the timing is better for stocks than real estate but you have to look on a very asset specific basis

can you speak on the topic of nomads setting themself up with no tax residencies. some countries will let you drop tax residence if you dont spend time there (such as the uk), and then you can spend your year moving from place to place on toursit visas in countries that don't care to tax you. im not sure what the downside of this is, and why this person might voluntarily pay tax just to get a tax residence (aside from the legality of working from tourist visas)

@@pures1n You legally can't unless you have a visa that permits work, are a citizen of the country in question, or, in the case of the Schengen Zone you must be a citizen of a country within the Schengen Zone. I've literally watched people get arrested for doing so in France, Czechia, Italy, Austria, Poland, Singapore and Hong Kong. Tourist visa's or visa-free are for tourism only. Not work or attending a conference. The "digital nomads" who don't care about following the laws and work regardless absolutely annoy me as they are the cause of the anti-digital nomad movement that governments are starting (within the governments) which is why BS like ETIAS gets introduced along with more ID checks whilst you're trying to enjoy breakfast in a small rural town visiting family. A lot of "digital nomads" go to small rural towns as they think they'll get away with illegally working - all it does is ruin the atmosphere and annoy the locals as the border guards and police start harassing everyone.

I'm sure you've covered this already. The situation with a free zone Dubai company with zero tax and residence in a developed, Western country. The company is an internet freelance one in forex. How can that be optimized? In particular, how to set it up so that the income is capital gain which has lower tax than employment tax.

This isn't accurate there's 100% legal ways to optimize your tax in most places. This doesn't mean you'll pay zero or that the costs won't erode the ROI but it's completely false that you need to move to optimize your tax. As far as the case above for anything specific please send us a message through www.offshorecitizen.net or book a call

@@OffshoreCitizen you should do a tax optimization video on the Philippines since a lot of people leave the country to get out of paying PIT on their FSI.

I opened a company in the US as a foreigner (LLC), currently, I am living and working in Austria and I am only a resident of this State and not a citizen. How should I pay taxes, because there is an agreement between these 2 countries to Avoid double taxation? Should I also go to a lawyer here in Austria, or DTA work for every country the same?
@OffshoreCitizen
@OffshoreCitizen Жыл бұрын
You're likely fully taxable in Austria if that's the case, double tax treaties don't protect you from your local country taxing you if they have the primary taxing right
