I learned about this guy from random KZfaq videos called ‘Tyler the creator in school’, and one of him being relatable, then one of my friends was weakening a golf shirt I asked who it was he said Tyler the creator, and I remembered this guy and actually started listening to a lot of his stuff, I’m glad I found my way here to his music.

I can strongly relate because my father abandoned me when I was only two and when he was finally in my life for one year he physically abused me. He’s still gone and when I saw him after five years at a family reunion I nearly shit my pants. But he acted like nothing had ever happened. To anyone who has a dad that stuck around and is a good man please don’t take him for granted.

The second half about his dad. Its really poetic and sad in a way. Tyler harbors this hatred for his dad for not being around and never even acknowledging his son's existence, and I dont think anyone could blame him for being angry. On the opposite side, Tyler has enough respect in his heart to understand that there was a reason for it. He wants to know his dad. He wants to know why he left, and why he never became a part of his life. I feel like if there is forgiveness to be had, Tyler certainly would.
