I've heard of the Clark from early 90's rap like Street Military, Big Mello and other great rappers who had a great name in the industry. Never heard them talk about te Damu's like that. Always thought hey had a great, strong, untouchable and known identity for the south. Guess it's a whole different game nowadays over there? Als always, thanks for the vid Kev. I can vouch from experience. Houston truthfully was never a super banged out city but factually around-the time the artist you name were dropping music in there prime Hiram Clarke was on some blood shit. Even Vince Young said he was a blood before in a interview. But I saw red rags first hand 26 years ago in Hiram Clarke and u could tell it wasn't brand new back then .

I moved to Houston when I was 5 in 1989. 5th Ward. Lived on Elysian and Lorraine near Kashmere Gardens and Northside High School. I went to Sherman Elementary. L.A. culture comes from The South. Especially North East Texas.

I never knew Inglewood Family had a chapter in Texas but I aint surprised. I remember IFG being like the biggest gang I ever seen in 80s to early 90s. They were soo big in numbers that they gave every hood the business back in the days. I don't know what happened to them. They barely exist today. What happen? Alot of gangs die out due to less and less recruiting. I know there's still some IFG in Inglewood but I aint never seen 1 in like last 15 years & I be everywhere in Southern Cali. Only bloods I ever see around there is Denver Lanes and Queen Street. I know they got some Crenshaw Mafia but I never seen them either & I know for a fact they small in numbers too. I remember traveling thru Oklahoma in the early 90s and they had folks up there banging Crenshaw Mafia. How the fuck did Crenshaw Mafia reach Oklahoma in the early 90s???
