ABOUT ME:
- I'm Cambodian and Chinese.
- I was born in November of 1983 (so I'll be 37 this year) and raised in Houston, although my heart lays in between Houston and Hawaii.
- "OG KPOP STAN": I've always used the term "OG" (supposedly "original gangster") to define being old-school, and I became an avid Korean music aka Kpop listener/lover since 1998. Kpop was my coping mechanism from the bullying I experienced in my younger years and it's just stuck by me ever since. Also! Just to be clear: me calling myself an "OG kpop stan" doesn't mean that anyone who's listened to kpop later than me is inferior. A kpop lifestyle is a kpop lifestyle regardless of time.😄
- I was a hiphop dancer for about 7 years. I did the whole crew thing, auditioning thing, competition thing, choreography thing, dance instructor thing, so I have some experience in that field and I hope to be able to share some perspective from my experiences for y'all to see the extra things that I appreciate about a video when I point them out.
-My videos can have quite a lot of cuts in editing and/or my eyes will unnaturally blink rapidly sometimes. This is because of my neurological disease that came with my lupus nephritis (posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome). My thinking abilities and speaking abilities struggle to align at times.
- Yes, that's Jack Sparrow's ring that I always wear in my videos. I've been a Pirates of the Caribbean fan ever since I rode the ride for the first time ever in Disneyland when I was a kid.🤓

Oh la la la has no mv but the dance practice is like their most synchronized dance practice video. Sadly SM deleted it, but someone saved it and uploaded it on yt. Temp also has a killer choreo. But you HAVE to watch Kai : Film. He frikkin did a Beyoncé and made a visual album. It is just pure art.

Monster is one of my favorites. You have to check out FILM by Kai as well as the teaser for his solo album before it is released on Monday. It is MESMERIZING, AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Need I say more!

You just made helped me realize exactly why I like EXO and can’t get into other groups - their individual vocals don’t get lost among the instrumentals and dance and other voices! I’m always surprised when I hear someone from Super Junior or BTS or super M, or Shinee : I’m shocked when I actually hear any of the individuals sing. They’re really good. Examples: Taemin, Heechul, Onew, Kyuyun have beautiful voices and I just happened to catch them on some different programs where they got to showcase their amazing talent. But most groups muddy the waters with too many vocals at once.

Monster is HIT for a reason, everything about it is amazing! and Thina the clip you showed for world dance performance the move you talked about is very similar to EXO-LOVESHOT mv (2019) when they drop to the floor :)

Monster was the first EXO MV I saw... and still to this day cannot wrap my mind around the whole sit on the floor and turn their bodies without looking like they're moving. A few people I have shown it to tried to say camera work but like.. no. Or they said they're moving just their foot or something.. also no?? I feel like it's literally all just one hand moving their entire body that way. I NEED TO KNOW!!!

love your exo reactions. i wonder if you would ever consider checking out seventeen. they have 13 members, they design their own choreo on top of writing their own songs and they've produced some of the best stages i've ever seen in kpop. i really think you'll enjoy them. i personally love don't wanna cry, thanks, and fallin' flower. for bangers i like hit, fear, getting closer, and good to me. these are almost all after their like, boy next door cutesy eras. just my preference lol

isolation? i've been hearing 'isolation' in every dancer reaction. So can someone tell me what is isolation?

So if you look at the word Isolate: *cause (a person or place) to be or remain alone or apart from others.* When someone isolates something in dancing that means the are moving only one isolated part of there body while the rest is as still as possible. So they could only be focusing on the arms, on the hips, on the shoulders, etc.
