@Uxma Jed you're totally right, over the centuries Klaus had falling outs with his siblings more than once though, Elijah was always loyal to him and Rebbeca, she loved him a lot despite all the heartbreaks she suffered cause of him, seemed to treat her like a princess and spoiled her. Klaus has never wanted to be alone so he would prefer Stefan for his loyalty, but if he wanted a friend who would "party" with him, Damon was the obvious choice for many reasons.

Its because Stephan as the ripper taught certain things to klaus that made killing that much better and as an original he hadn't seen such brutality from anyone especially his own underling. Its a sort of awe factor for niklaus with the sense where someone who has only lived 1/10 of his life could still teach him so much.

The funny thing is both they both are alike and then they've both got siblings who are good and keep them in control even though they hate each other on the outside. Damon & Stefan Klaus & Eliijah And i swear to god TVD was much more fun and interesting during Klau's time until stupid bloody travellers and MORE doppleganger problems started to occur.

Holy f do i love them?.. they would have been perfect killing buddies and seriously i love both of them.. They are just amazing and have so perfect bad boy image.. I just wish they were friends would've been great to see them around more.. But personally i prefer Damon over any other vampire.. He really is the best and Klaus comes a close second.. You know all those expressions and smiling grinning passing comments i really thought that at some point they might be buddies and we'll get to see more of them.. I love it when Damon says.."
