the very last DTS rolled off the production line in 2011, it was immediately bought by Nicola Bulgari, it is part of his private collection, so as a DTS owner myself, I can clarify you do not own the very last 2011 DTS built.

I own a 2008 DTS and had some head gasket issues that the OG owner neglected to inform me of. After replacing the engine I haven’t had 1 issue with the vehicle and it has about 119,000 miles on it now. Very good vehicle despite what some people may say. If you have the time/money to invest, the car will invest back into you for sure.

Even this DTS was a real Cadillac.

I agree. I bought a 2005 Deville DTS w/ 101k miles a year ago. Very clean one owner example. Silver in color. I immediately dumped the $5,000 into upgrading the head studs (bolts) w/ Northstar Performance kit. I must say after a year of owning it so far, FLAWLESS. I do oil changes every 4k miles. Also done radiator flush, water pump and trans service. No oil leaks at all. Underneath is bone dry. Currently has 122k. I've driven it to Miami (from Atlanta where I live) twice and Houston, TX once. At one time it was my daily for 6 months sitting in ATL traffic and all until I got my Honda Fit. Again, it is absolutely flawless. I cant see myself getting rid of it.

@hakeemsd70m Жыл бұрын
I hope you're not implying that the DTS is a rebaged Impala, because that's grossly incorrect. The Impala is a W body car, related to the 2004-08 Pontiac Grand Prix and 2005-09 Buick Lacrosse.

It may be FWD and have a Northstar, but it was a real cadillac. Big, heavy, cushy, bouncy kinda lazy, but still nice to drive. These are quick too. The only Cadillac that has a hint of old style Cadillac would be the Escalade and they're still dressed up and trimmed up Suburbans. I miss old Cadillac

a 12 year old car that is ugly as fuck on the outside, gets 12mpg in the city, has extremely high maintenance costs, and is sitting at 70k miles...(imo don't buy cars around 60k-80k miles.. that's when issues start to arise for a lot of owners and they'll just try and sell their problems to you.. I'd feel safer buying a car at 120k than 70k) this shit isn't worth more than 5k at maximum. I wouldn't buy it for more than 3500. allow me to show you where I'm coming from, look at the cost of a 20 year old Cadillac of whatever type.. not good right? usually like what? 2500ish? ok so this car is only 8 years away from being that, AND you'll spend 750 a year maintaining it on average, so in 8 years (when it turns 20 years old) it will have cost you 6k in maintenance and it'll depreciate from "11.5k" in value to around 3k.. and thats if no one even drove it from this point on. so you'd be out of $15k (assuming you could resell it for 3k) in 8 years of owning this. you'd be throwing $2000 a year away driving a gas guzzling grandma car.. not even including the cost it takes to insure it.
