The World Figure Skating Championships were hosted at the Bell Centre in Montreal last week and the major event had a Kahnawake connection.
Before last Wednesday’s opening ceremony, a video featuring Kahnawa’kehró:non Konwatsitsawi Meloche reading the Ohén:ton Karihwatéhkwen as well as the history of Kahnawake and the Kanien’kehá:ka all in Kanien’kéha was played.
