Honestly I see this as a great thing, usually when a game gets a bootleg of itself, you just know that the original had reach a point of great popularity, so yeah, while it is bad, I'm actually quite happy that this happened.

The best games always have imitators. I’m happy to explore how other artists will execute the ideas behind Sky. I hope Sky turns into an entire new genra of games, because it is brilliant! No matter how many new sky-like game come out - Sky will forever be the original, and I will always be a Sky Kid at heart.

I mean, tbf, sky is basically just a retelling of journey adjusted to maximize profit and suit the broader audience by adding micro transactions, a never ending game loop, cosmetics and a fuckin battle pass 🙃. Not saying I don't like the game, I'm just saying that it really isn't anything revolutionary.

I even thought it was an open world game like Sky that swam around the varios places in ocean, but I was a little disappointed when it was simply an aquarium game and still with advertisements... I'll give it a little chance to see if it evolves game mechanics. This should be called "Ocean Children of the Aquarium" 😏😏

yes, the character is similar, but the essence of the games is completely different, if not for this character, we would not compare these games, because Sky is an online game with communication and knowledge of the world, and the ocean is just a clicker. For the lagginess of the game...its just like sky, you can change the setting for the graphics so it will be less laggy and avoid from looking at the corals since i think its the main reason for the lagginess, its much more smooth when there is just fish on the screen xD i've just played it yesterday when it was out..i hope this help

It’s an aquarium idle game, like many others I’ve come across. The only ripped off that I see here is just the clothes. It’s not even an exploration game. Everything else doesn’t seem like anything Sky-like other than the character and cosmetics. This claim gives me Genshin-BotW rip-off disputes flashbacks or Dimetrescu-Reference drama flashbacks. It’s like “NO you can’t have a main character have short hair, a cape, and cream colored clothes NO CAPES so CANCELLED!!1!!11!” Of course that doesn’t mean what Ocean did is right, but making a drama out of it is pointless. It’s like making a hate-campaign towards some random studio who is ripping off only the design of one character from Lion King but everything else in the story is different. Don’t give them attention they want (or your money). If you don’t want to play the game, then don’t and let it fade away like we have done to many app games like this

I get seriously heated when people make that claim over cherry picked scenes and concept art and voice actors having a misunderstanding, which are often used as the “evidence” when most of the plot of the movie doesn’t copy the entire show. Belladonna isn’t actually Kimba’s aunt. Wasn’t a spirit of a loved one in the clouds already done before Kimba? What we can’t have a smart bird and a hog as friends to a lion? What we can’t have a lion with a Swahili name cuz it looks too close to a westernized name? Not even how Panja dies the same, Eliza dies not long after Leo leaves the ship, Leo’s kids aren’t the same as Simba’s. Claw is damn pedo in both Manga and anime, but did we get that from Scar? Why is no one concerned about that? Claw is not even Panja’s brother, was he? Leo literally wears the skin of his father, but where is that in the film? Nah, let’s only focus on the fact that he has a black mane and an eye injury and he had lackeys, which lackeys and facial injuries aren’t new with villains. Simba didn’t have a canonical sister. I can go ON forever by episode. And this is coming from someone who loves both franchises.

Eh, I have the game. And while the similarities are OBVIOUS, they're more aesthetic-wise. You can't even play with the character, they swim around by themself. It's an aquarium in your phone if anything. Someone probably saw the aesthetics of Sky and thought "what if we make a relaxing meditative type of game out of it".

Sky is a great game and nobody should be copying it, it is very different from other games and that is one of the great things about it. You shouldn’t be copying a small and new game to make your own, especially one that stands out among other mobile games.

I only played ocean because it looked similar to Sky. But I was very disappointed for these reasons: 1. Unlike sky, you can move around. In this game, you can’t. 2. Your friends are animals whereas in Sky you become friends with REAL people, and interact with them. 2. Both have a similar variety of cosmetics. For example, the manta cape(s) (not sure if there is more than one in Ocean). 3. Similar hairstyles as well. The structure and form are nearly identical to the ones we have in Sky. Like the bob hairstyle from the forest constellation. My thoughts about ocean are that the graphics are beautiful and you can adjust them to your liking. The environment is ethereal too. But that’s about it. If I had to pick I’d say I like Sky better.

Tbh, I personally enjoy both games. Both are pretty and have nice music and I can alter the character in a way. I am set. one is an open world and you have to interact with others while the other is a solo relaxing type. ^♡^

y'all silly and did not try the game xD It's so different, tgc will have no rivalry here at all and this game is a pain in the ass with ads in hopes of faster progression, the idle collecting 'moon pieces and hearts' takes forever and has a weird letter tier system for currency, god knows what's going on there, i like it but it's somehow grindy. also here it said 'i'll show you more similarities between the two but it's lagging' then does not post anymore because there is no more apart from white hair, cape and simple cell shade type models

Didn't know Tap Tap Fish made a collab with Sky Cotl lol (joking btw) At least it has effort like some say. But because of this, the original will get more attention, but also the boot-leg will be more noticeable! P.S. I like the art style it is going for though, might give it a try.

Ocean is really not a game as good as Sky, though. Ocean doesnt have free roaming as an option. Its just one of those "gather up these things to collect friends and decorate your space", and frankly i dont enjoy that type of games.. But if you do enjoy a game like that, go ahead and check Ocean out!

They have (Kinda) copied another game. If you look at the first footage of it you see in this video , you can see that it looks similar to the trailer of another character from another game , Sangonomiya Kokomi (She is from Genshin Impact) . Watch the trailer and you can see it. It is on KZfaq Pls don't reply "Oh the games developers were just inspired" or something. I just pointed out how similar it looked.
