People steal baby food and it's a touchy subject. It's one of those things where everyone needs it but it's a " luxury". Feeding ur family and especially babies, is a "luxury" in the eyes of corperations. I am grateful I can have food on the daily

My god I agree with you so much This world is so fucked and the goverment (doesn't matter which country) doesn't really give a shit. Like, i'm from germany and even though we get relatively good through the pandemic, the goverment is not doing enough. Like, not at all. Same with climate change. I'm so annoyed by this.

Poverty is not an accident or an unfortunate fate. It is a "design". And that design is INTENTED and structured by people - for people. I am not in the US but the same problem very much exists here. To overwork for basic needs. That is one of the reasons i am learning drawing. If i am gonna overwork let it be something i like and have a skill for.

I want to cry. I've been thinking about this a lot this year, and I'm even writing a book (sci-fi) that delves *deep* into some of these topics. I'll be sure to reference that quote if I can fit it in. It's a terrible thing to realise that we're living in a dystopian future, and I'm one of the lucky ones that had to find out. I really relate with how you’re feeling😞 I wanted to get more done with my art goals this year. I still hope that, one day, I can start producing my own content! But, before I make progress in any of my ambitious plans, I hesitate. I’m too much of a reluctant perfectionist. I want to do things; however, when I do get motivated and act on my urge to create I start to hate that my project isn’t meeting my standards. Then I give up again. It’s horrible bc I get so inspired by SO many creators like your’s! People like JelArts, Linh Truong, DrawingWiffWaffles, Neytirix, Kelsey Anmated, Sgar_Blu, and oh my STARS so many more! I want to prove myself that I can do more then what I’m doing now. Hopefully I’ll get them one day :) Thank you so much for still making videos. I have been a long time follower, but I have behind on your content. But seeing you still posting for so long it brings me back to when I was a small bean of imagination, motivation, and optimism! I have been feeling uninspired and unmotivated tu😭 but that bucket list is helpful!!😁✨💜🖤

I've been following you for a long time. I'm a middle-aged artist, once professional and top of my field and award winning, and I coined the terms "Artist's Hell" or "Commission Hell" to describe to others the situation where you end up as an artist where you have to produce content to meet obligations whether you want to or not, whether you are driven or inspired or not, whether it means anything to you or not anymore. Our lack of social support for when things go wrong in the US killed my career. I did have a lot of mental health issues that I needed to address, but had no opportunity to do while juggling my job and life obligations. During these waning years of my career, I have distinct memories of walking through supermarkets, trying to scrounge together something I could afford to cook, and staring at locked cases of baby formula and having this feeling of existential horror, that we, as a society are OKAY with this. That millions of people pass locked up baby food and have no problem with it. It was literally one of the defining moments of my breakdown. Our lack of social consciousness does not make for a good future for a "pure" artist, it's very, very hard to survive on creativity and the feeling of art when we live in a world that rather children starve, much less support people trying to follow their passions and help people with medical bills, emergency expenses and the thousand things that led to me losing a great many things before having to start all over. While I did start over, I had to conform. I left art behind and work a *job* job now, and while I make far more money, I mourn that the experience of being a professional artist for over 10 years has led to me literally *hating* to do art now. I left people hanging for years now, unable to even lift a tool or brush to finish my obligations because it was so mentally taxing. Many people can turn art into a career by also being great business people, being able to cheapen their work and monetize mass-produced merchandise or materials, but if you don't have that skill you're likely to burn out pretty fast. If I could offer you ANY advice, it would be to feel less pressure to do the art itself and go where your heart is taking you in videos like this, just TALK and people will listen. There is a growing movement of activists and people who make commentary about issues on KZfaq, and they struggle to articulate and illustrate their work. You can do BOTH and in a way that makes people want to listen and care. I sent links to your videos about how to draw hands and hair to family members who said it was the best art tutorial they ever saw. I loved your silly early work where you get a piece of wood in your eye and laughed my ass off at parts. But THIS is the work I feel you are drawn to, and me as well, and you need to make this your next great art project. Art isn't just visual, it's your heart and soul and you can use art as a tool to communicate what you feel to others, to create a unified feeling. Even if it's just doodling while explaining what's wrong and what needs to be fixed. Keep doing this. I know you're hurting, I can hear it in your voice, because it takes one to know one. I hope you can turn this boat around and get on a new course because you're worth it, your talent and your thoughts have great value, even in a world that treats baby-food like junkies are shooting it up in the alley and largely ignores art.

2020 has reminded me and my family to be grateful for what we have, food, water, and a roof under our heads and we acknowledge that millions of Americans suffer from losing their jobs, being evicted, going hungry, etc so it's important for us to not take things like that for granted. It's like most of the citizens have this rose-colored fog over their vision that makes everything seem perfect and corporate America keeps it that way and those of us are awake are called SJWs or extreme leftists or whatever else it may be.

People hate on muslims so much but its system of “zakat” is still something that blows my mind... zakat is ABSOLUTELY customary. it is a religious obligation it is a pillar of the 5 pillars of islam. The basic five things that make a muslim. And in zakat if you have more than a specified amount of money you HAVE TO give 2.5% of it to the poor. Every year for as long as you have that money. If a billionaire has just 1 billion dollars on which zakat is eligible he will have to give 25 MILLION DOLLARS EVERY YEAR TO THE POOR. Not doing so is considered treason and obviously a sin in religion.

All you have to do is compare the products made by capitalist countries vs non capitalist countries. It seems that the exchange of ideas works better with the pressure of competition which (supposedly??), can only happen under capitalism??. Capitalism is not perfect, because perfection is not possible. I would say that it gives the participant an opportunity to better themselves, but because of competition, you have to be really good to become distinguished. At least it does that, other systems don't even give you the opportunity of recognition, if it gave you anything at all.
