This one is one hundred percent worth it. I can't even begin to describe just how many decks can use this to their advantage. Mainly with Barrier Statue of Infernos and Dugares to overlay over it and revive it so its doesn't get bounced

instant fusion+this= damn near anything level 5 and lower. playing infernoids, this+ infernoid evil is pretty much all day plusses via decatron (and i think there's a chain block you can perform too). list goes on. it's one of those cards that's good at the first look, and only gets better the more cards come out.

​@@luminous3558 except there are multiple decks that don't ftk off of instant, but can still make good use of this because the fusions they summon match multiple level monsters that the deck can play. monsters like accel synchron level modulate into just about anything you need, so it's literally a complete extender in any deck that synchro summons using a revolution/accel package the supreme king gate zero brings out dragon type synchro or fusion monsters from the extra deck, meaning in any pendulum deck that plays it, you can choose just about any level to go into routes easier, even looping gates for solid zarc plays. fusion decks can make AMPLE use of this, as muddy mudragon/garura are just that easy to use. this is literally a card with small world connotations.

I don t really know about that, things like dim barrier or even pot of greed are also not searcheable by commun things Its more balanced by the fact that its a normal spell and need a fusion/synchro

If it was searchable, it would be super busted. It's just an interesting extender that Im sure people will find a way to abuse.

technicaly you can force TTT to be activeable with gen n ken now which should make busted unsearchable one ofs much more common now

Prosp and thrust make it pretty easy. But id say its a extender for decks that have alot of 1 card starters. Its a easy include in runic, because it will almost always be active to use, with the amount of starters the deck has

@ibea8096 technically yes but functionally no. If you fetch it off Gigantic you couldn’t bring out anything worth caring about. It was banned in MD because you could sometimes mill it with Tear, pivot into Elf, and revive it to make Exterio. Honestly have no clue why it was banned again in the TCG because we didn’t have Elf anymore by the time it was banned again and it didn’t really see much use outside of cheesy Reprodocus FTKs. It’s an annoying card that’s exactly 0 fun to see get summoned, but it’s also a magnet for Veiler and Imperm

I mean, Ready Fusion combined with this can search any Level 2-6 monster. (I don’t think there are any Level 1 non-Effect Fusions to my knowledge.)

The difference is that this works with any runick to go into pretty much anything. Whereas shadows light and duality are basically restricted to exactly 1 target for any given situation

Duality is way more restrictive, then this, this shit broken as hell.

Its unsearchable, bad going 2nd, weak to hand traps, does 0 if you don't draw other cards with it. This is 100% duality again and bad for the same reason: its so much worse than a handtrap/boardbreaker in the situations that matter.

@ethanhopper2467 that still requires you to play Runick, which on its own is a huge deck building cost. You have almost no room in that deck for non-engine and you really can’t close out games, so you’re stuck hoping that drowning your opponent in card advantage is enough or that you get lucky and banish enough key engine pieces from your opponent that they concede. And even then you’d still need to open this card. Plus it doesn’t fix any of the actual problems with Runick, which is that the actual Runick spells just don’t do much. The deck isn’t losing because 3 Fossil Dig isn’t enough to consistently see Rex and the Spright cards aren’t what make the deck tick seeing as just using Gigantic locks you out of Folgo, Beat, and Rafael. When the deck loses it’s because it doesn’t banish enough key cards and because most competent decks can play through a special summon monster pop, a monster negate, and a backrow pop or attack block. The deck that can dig 6+ cards deep going Fountain for up to 3 into another Fountain for up to 3 and Geri to recycle the first Fountain so you can just do it all again isn’t a deck that’s struggling with consistency. The card reminds me of Tearlaments Grief. That card also read busted as hell as an E-Tele for the deck that can trigger any of the Tear names, but it wasn’t actually fixing any of the deck’s problems so no one ran it during Ishizu Tear format. Same thing applies here. Consistency is generally a non-issue, largely in part because the deck just can’t afford to run a lot of non-engine so its hands are almost always straight gas.

how??? if the spell would be the 5th summon, then you couldnt have gotten nibbed anyway. if the spell would be the 6th or later summon, they just nib before you can activate it.

⁠@@shucklecopter8271. Activate the spell any time before you could get nibirued (summon 2-5), get any Barrier Statue except Heavens (likely Abyss if you’re playing runick spright but whichever on let’s you play more) and then, this is the important part, you keep playing after summoning statue.

Even if you grabbed one of the Vanity monsters, it gets bounced on End Phase, so you wouldn't be doing much.

Just look at how terrible the card is outside of its best case scenario. If you brick this bricks you harder compared to just running an extender. This card is a 3 of that has additional engine requirements which heavily cuts down on non-engine space for what is effectively only a slightly stronger turn 1. You never want to see this card going 2nd so its more of a side deck card for going 1st which really isn't what we should be doing in yugioh. Just run a floodgate if you want to improve your going 1st match up with an unsearchable 3 of.

True, actual metamorphosis could come back at 3 and be bad too. Inconsistently making a last warrior isnt a strong strategy in 2023 when you could play a consistent deck with handtraps.

Wait you might be cooking. ABC + Dragon Ravine for destrudo does this exactly. And ABC is an 8 so you dont need extra resources to make an additional lvl8 guy

A 3.5 card combo of Union Hangar + Ravine + Back Mutation + a discard for Ravine is a turn skip

You would need to send Destrudo off of Ravine which means you cant search Tracer by sending Absorouter. Even if you do draw Tracer, hes a tuner so you cant go into AFD with him and Destrudo and if you use Tracer eff to get recharger you dark lock yourself out of AFD. I think a hand of Chaos Space + 2 of Tracer/Recharger/Quick Launch + Chaos Space discard should + Back mutation should work. People who are more versed in DLink could probably come up with a much better line than what I have but I think ABC is better since their combo lines already go into AFD + ABC anyways so if you happen to draw Back Mutation/Thrust it just becomes a win more card, also between 3 Prosperity, 1 Terraforming and Set Rotation the deck can do it pretty consistently.
