The saddest part is we don't know if Kuma is seeing it or is he too lost to see it. Also, Bonnie is only this powerful because she is a kid. Have you ever played make believe games with kids? The limitation is probably that she has no real experience with these abilities and also doesn't have the same strength of their original owners. For example, while she does have a Nika-like body right now she doesn't also have Luffy's raw strength or Haki. Luffy destroyed nearby buildings with Haki alone by entering Gear 5. Right now Bonnie just has enhanced physical abilities. She's just aping what she thinks it should be like.

The drawback seems quite obvious to me with is a timelimit. Everytime she's used it on Egghead it's for a short period of time and if you factor the gear 5 time limit too then she will less than Luffy does in gear 5 and will probably be knocked out as she doesn't have Luffy's crazy endurance

Slightly outlandish theory/idea here. What if D stood for Dreamer/Dreams/Dream? That the Dreamers were the original people able to manifest their wills, hopes, and dreams into reality. These were later turned into Fruits (on the OG Tree) or their dreams were manifested into the Fruits themselves. Thematically it makes sense. Thus anyone with a D in their name now has the inherent and or inherited Will to excel in the world and a closer attachment to their ultimate dream in life. (Which increases the D. individual's connection to their Devil Fruit due to being naturally more compatible.) This also explains why Haki would be the antithesis of Devil Fruits. It's one's Will coming into direct opposition to another's Dream. Willpower being the tangible to Dream's abstract.

Brother I saw this coming I was hoping for it but it's still wild bonney was becoming one of my favorite characters but right now she's definitely up there (also something to note we have always seen bonney eating and insane amount of food I think that is an indicator of a similar drawbacks to luffy being that it takes alot of energy and alot of food to regain that energy)

Years ago, I came up with a One Piece OC who specialized in Devil Fruit extracts. He thought of himself as the Michelangelo to Vegapunk's Da Vinci. One of his achievements was injecting a Devil Fruit with the substance of other fruits and plants, including previous hosts of Devil Fruit powers. (1 Fruit + 10 Devils = radioactive vessel, for example) I guess Oda had this idea brewing all along.

You keep saying in this video no one saw it coming, but I feel like as soon as we heard about Distorted Future, most of the fandom came to this conclusion as a matter of when, rather than if. My predictions going forward are; - The iron giant will make the big save, allowing for an escape. Maybe it gets one or two words out about joyboy, but I expect Oda to give us it's internal monologue of regrets for not having the chance to talk longer with Luffy and Bonnie -When the iron giant comes out of the water, Vegapunks transmission will get one last big reveal in, but we will miss the D message due to the disruption. It'll likely be about the Elders - Imu will likely want to use the mother flame to use Uranus to destroy Elbaf. In the end it'll take both Nika's together to stop it, potentially leading to the theory that was floating around where Luffy will in some way consume the mother flame. For Bonnie, you may be able to see her powers as handing off a controller. You may be playing a top tier character, but if you don't know how to use it, there's only so much you can do on intuition alone. I think this for a few reasons, but primarily I just think it'd be fun to give her a training arc where she works with distorted futures to make learning easier. For example, she could produce a Swords Master future. That form would have muscle memory, but she may not gain the knowledge of that future. So using a form like that and then training with Zoro would give her actual understanding of those abilities. This would be especially fun because Luffy is known to be an awful teacher lmao. So yeah, these are my thoughts :3 Just wanted to put em out there.

u know when i think about bonney fruit literally is like ditto the pokemon...like pretty much she can turn into anything she believes or turn others in anything she believes...but her power is never as powerful as the original in either strength or stamina...so like she can use nika's powers but don't expect her to fight for as long as nika or as powerful as nika...and she needs to nika to show her/create something for her to copy...like how is imaginative while the other is a copycat per say ...but that cool in the sense that bonney could join the crew as a communications officer/apprentice so she can spread the word of nika to the people and even change people into nika to help liberate themselves but she can also learn and study under nika/luffy to gain better understanding of the possibilities she has when using the nika fruit...it could also be interesting like u said she mimics people as she could even mimic kuma and the rest of the strawhats as she could lookup or admire them (though considering how strong bonney was before the nika powers she could just look up to kuma and luffy because of her childhood admiration for the two)

part of me think the limit of this ability is exactly as saturn said. as your future becomes more and more narrow the more clear it becomes. because a future where a person can flood the work wouldn’t make as much sense because(in their mind) how would they do that? you’d have to find a way to belief that you could actually flood the world, so you’d need an actual understanding o how to do it. if they had this fruit and it could do that thered be a very important someone locked in a room using it behind the scenes. also

I know ill get crucified for this, but i really didn´t like Bonney becoming "joygirl" I´d rather would´ve had her powering up luffy or making someone older, idk now it feels like she is an absolute cheat code and all i could think about was "why does´nt she just imagine a future where she mauls her enemies everytime she is about to loose" since she apparently can do anything and the "options get smaller" thing doesn´t work either imo since she could just imagine being the strongest anyway i don´t know, oda probably has something planned to make it work out but for now I´m not really happy about it it just opens so many potential "plotholes" imo

I see why it makes sense cuz early on we see Bonney using future punch that turned her arm into a very similar version of Luffy. Her future punch can see any future so the future see saw with the nika fruit is where one Luffy most likely dies and bonney eats the nika fruit. So the logic will definitely apply to other devil fruits where she sees other users dying and obtains there fruit power. Ther just brings into question tho how similar is she to black beard where she would still have her age age fruit but also another df ability

Actually now that you mention it, i can totally see Bonney giving Nika powers to all the Strawhats in a final battle against the Gorosei. It's like how Naruto shared his Kyuubi chakra with the entire allied shinobi forces

I think Bonnie might play a role in a final clash of the series, or a major one, where she ages the crew to peak ages, in order to defeat an enemy that is too strong with their current power level

With bonney’s distorted future I think it’s based off connection She already knew nika since she was a kid and would dance to his drumbeat with her dad And he told her about his rubbery self which hen helped her escape that cp lady in the flashback If she could turn into any user then she’d have already turned into kizaru or the gorosei in egghead Or into any of the other strawhats with devil fruits, so I don’t think it’ll work like that And I don’t think she’d do much in the nika form since last times she’s done distorted future she only did like 1 move before getting exhausted and changing back to normal

I heard someone mention that Egghead has a lot of similarities to the Sabaody arc. Maybe this means we’ll get another “Time Skip” where Bonney ages the Straw Hats up a year or so with Distorted Future to make them more powerful. The only problem is, that feels way too broken. But you can write around that, like say that to create a permanent change, she can only use it on anyone once and can only advance them a set number of years
