This is not the scene which Brandon was killed. It was the scene in the flashback of his and Shell's apartment with TBird and his guys.

I’d actually heard that it was the scene in which he was in Funboys apartment with Funboy and Darla. In any case it’s awful that it happened I think Brandon Lee could’ve gone on to do some really great things.

Its not that scene that killed him...

He was fatality accidentally killed in a flashback scene with the character "Funboy". People need to see behind the scenes and interviews. The crew cut costs on "dummy rounds" (i.e. meant to be non-functioning fake rounds that look real on camera but obviously can't fire). They got live rounds, removed the projectile, emptied the gunpowder, then returned the projectile into the cartridge...forgetting to remove the firing cap. The revolver, I think it was a .357 magnum the colt python, then had a projectile lodged into the barrel from the force of the firing cap and being dodgy with the manipulation of the live rounds made as dummies. The crew loaded up the blanks for the flashback scene. The blank was fired by the Funboy actor. The force ejected the round and it entered Brandon's lower torse passing through organs and spinal column. Ruled a series of unfortunate mishandlings of safety. They made more strict rules in Hollywood for firearm safety on set... ...then a little lower crew production number of personnel film was being filmed recently where a very well known actor with decades of experience with firearms on set was the exec producer and main star who "allegedly accidentally discharged a single action colt peacemaker at the camera for a close up cross draw, allegedly killing a crew member". Waiting to see how the courts handle the new case with the western film incident.
