I got the IBZ style DYI kit coming Monday, the hell with paint it, I WANTA play it. Pink Floyd set up is the only thing that worries me, tighten one string and the rest go out of tune. So it won't be a Rocksmith 2014 player since it'll take a day to retune it.

I have been thinking about buying a kit for so long now. They are so affordable. You can do any pickups you want and roller bridge along with locking tuners. You can make one that even Skully will be jealous of. Sorry Skully please don't kill me...

That is a beast! The beauty part of diy guitars? You can paint it or stain it and clearcoat,upgrade the pickups and those awful tuners,I'm thinkin swap em out for grovers? Those are the best,screw those locking ones,had sperzels on an old guitar and I'll be totally honest I was not impressed w them

Is it bad I want to build a 2nd Leo explorer kit? But make it a hetfield styled one in white. I really really want to get the matte black Leo Lp to put some emgs or blackouts in. Can't decide what one to do first lol. Bother way, what's a good cheap tuner? I need some for a few guitars. Some locking, some not I guess.

Hey Man..make sure you sand the guitar well..then use some vinal sealer or primer..then sand lightly and pick ur paint..Best of luck bro..hope to get moving on the next vid of this Guitar sometime over the weekend
