In this video from LearnElectrics we will look at the Ohm’s law wheel which combines the Ohm’s Law and Power Law Triangles together into one set of formulas.
These two formulas, ohms law and power law, are fundamental to our understanding of electrics and they feature in many electrical trade exams.
Some new starters struggle with understanding how we arrive at these combined formulas, so in this video we will show you: and we have also included the Power Matrix, a variation of the wheel that is, for me, much easier to understand and use.
Then we will show you some example calculations using the Power Matrix and then its over to you to have a go at some practice questions yourself, and yes, we’ve provided the answers.

These formulas are ok for DC curent or single phase AC with purely resistive loads. They do not work for 3 phase calculations or single phase with inductive or capacitive loads ( as it is the case in the real world ). Just an observation.
