There are people who call Pep Fraud and say that it was only because of legendary Barcelona squad he got so much success back then.But they forget the point that it was Pep who built that legendary team maybe not from the scratch it was Cyruff's vision but he assembled the squad giving opportunities to young blood and removing dead woods like Deco and Ronaldinho. It is exactly what Barcelona need right now someone like Guardiola.

There's no doubt Guardiola is a good manager but he spends a lot of money to buy players and always does well with some of the biggest clubs in the country. Barcelona, Bayern and Man City with their Arabian money. I want to see him manage a Burnley or a Watford and then see how good he is with his tactics.

With money and a good base Pep is a genius for sure. Would love to see him take a team like Wolves up or West Ham to truly see his Genius, but that isnt the type of manager he is, he is more of a short term and quick results manager aslong as the team has the money to spend for that.

I think you know really well that mediocre teams that managed to win tittles have done it by being very solid in defense and scoring goals in quick counterattacks. Greece didn't win the Euro cup by outplaying their rivals, neither did Leicester. Pep in a mid table team will be like Gasperini's Atalanta or Bielsa's Leeds. They are a joy to watch but fail to win consistently because they take high risk playing attacking football.
