bro, if i could add just one thing to this amazing in depth speech, it would be to go EVERYWHERE. Spend 10 minutes dying trying to torrent jump from one random area to the next. Go to every single corner, every cliff edge, jump onto every small edge that leads to nowhere and every tiny crack on the side of mountain that you're not sure even if its just a crack or a passage to another area. Enjoy every single pixel of a motzart, leonardo di vinci creation that this game has to offer. This was my first fromsoft game, and I can't emphasize how much this will be the best in my eyes. He's right when he says your first fromsoft will forever be the best fromsoft in your eyes. Play with summons, die for 5 hours without them and learn the moveset or use a fun cheese strat cause all of it counts. Use everything this game has to offer, just do it. Get the boss down to 1 hp, then die to a 1 tap. It is all apart of the experience, you are not alone. Remember that you will regain souls just as easy as you lost them, don't get hung up on needing to grab them again. Take a " time for respite/ introspection" on the cliff edge marking the boarder of the map. Just never give up, you can and will win.

Any New players to the game/DLC, these points are unbelievably good. Do not rush, do not over use help the more blind running the better & the game truly does get easier as you get better.
