This Imam should not be absolutely condemned for saying the truth . In fact , there are so many hidden secrets that was revealed which the SOUN himself is not aware of. Not all the people sitting and dining with the King are true friends. Therefore the King should invite the Chief IMAM to his palace for more dialogue. Religious problem is not anything that can be swept under the carpet. A word for the wise.

For peace to Reign in Ogbomoso, it is the duty of the King. It is clear that the King is tactically siding the sections of Ayilara Family that are against the Imam. The imamship post given to the present Imam is bestowed on him by the previous King, by now saying that Ayilara Family should go and revisit or settle the case is another aberration . What goes around comes around, if he eventually removes the Imam, the king should expect that all his actions will also be reviewed and may also be abolished by the future King. In summary, the new Imam was a decision by the past King and should never be reviewed. The section of Ayilara family that are angry should wait for another time and this should serve as a lesson for all royal family to be watchful of their actions so as not to commit similar blunder.

Imam did not say that he didn't support Ghandi because he is a Christian but because he was one of the two Christian candidates amongst 23 other candidates. Then the question is that must everyone support a candidate to emerge. I think the Imam was morally justified on his choice and I believe every right-thinking person would see it just like that.
