you did a good job on the replacement, though you should really lubricate the o rings before installing. if the o rings go in dry, they can twist or bunch up and can make in improper seal, causing a leak. you shouldnt encounter much resistance installing the o ring, it should go in smooth. they also make aluminum coolers that wont crack as the oe plastic ones tend to do. this wont help leaking seals which ive heard is also common, but it may be worth looking into if this one ever breaks. you did a good job on the replacement, as well as explaining what you were doing in a way that was quick and easy to understand. just found your channel and i look forward to seeing more videos! i wish you all the best!

Will the aluminium cooler leak over time also?

Because I was thinking of buying a aluminium one which is pricier but since you said it’s more of a maintenance thing made me pause, it is about $368 here in SA

@user-ej7hr5rc9n Well, it seems like it's usually the gaskets that leak. I doubt an aluminum oil cooler will ever crack and break, but you may have to replace the gaskets and O-rings again eventually.
