OIL Support Ship Running Well! - Frantico Oil Career 2 - Stormworks - Part 2
Lets continue with our Frantico Oil Company series by making the engines inside our oil support ship work and successfully doing our first mission! We're also going to be painting our ship and adding a bunch of things to make it a really useful ship.
We're also going to be checking our a really awesome locomotive. The Robel RORUNNER Level 2 Gleiskraftwagen is a locomotive with a crane and movable platform on the back. Its got some modded parts that make it look amazing and you should definitely give it a try. Unfortunately at the time of recording there were no instructions as to how it works. So is it actually possible to build large tankers that can pump themselves out again? I tried oil hauling a time or two, oh, last year or so but no matter what I did, I couldn't sell the oil. Obviously normal pump setups quit working, but I couldn't find a substitute. Putting the pumps at either end of the pipes failed. Venting the hold failed. Pressurizing the hold failed. I just _could not_ sell any oil, so I'd spawn a big oil tanker, take half an hour to get it to an oil rig, spend forever trying to fill it, it would settle deep enough to come to rest on the feet of the platform then damage itself and I'd have to restart, I'd finally get it right using side thrusters to keep my ship away from the rig since for some reason any hose with a winch has enough weight to drag a handysize tanker just by lying in the water, and then I'd spend more time driving the ship to the refinery island... only to have the oil pump out of the ship at about a liter every few seconds no matter how I built it. I haven't done any oil runs since...
