The Edmonton Oilers are one step closer to coming back from a 3-0 deficit against the Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup finals.
With victories in Games 4 and 5, and career defining performances from Connor McDavid, the Oilers aim to become only the second team in history to win Stanley Cup after trailing 3-0 in the finals.

Yeah let’s see what happens in Game 6. Then talk of the cup will be in order. Until then they have to win Game 6. Can they build on the last Two victories? Have they figured out Florida’s game or will the Panthers mount an effective defence? Again we will see in Game 6. Hoping for a Game 7 and a Canada win however. But it’s too soon to talk of that.

I want my Oilers to win it all. But we need a lot to go right. Skinner has to stay sharp, we need the production from the bottom six to keep pouring in, Drai is playing with an injured hand but if he can get some of his scoring touch back it would make a big difference. Friday can't come soon enough.

Connor McDavid VS. Panthers... Highly recommend you get more players on that team, we gave them three games to make it burn more in the 7th. Good for Calgary fans, two of theirs came down here and dominated the hated Oilers! Calgary is the only true Hockey town in Alberta! Greetings to the lovely people of Calgary from Miami!!!

if oilers win florida in game 6 then im sure that oilers will win in game 7. Oilers have gotten so much confidence and energy during games 4 and 5 and I think it will def not stop in game 6. if oilers win then im gonna go insane ngl. it would be the biggest nightmare for florida to lose two straight stanley cup finals.

Oh my goodness, those skinny skinny goalies. Can you imagine McDavid let loose in the 70's or 80's?? He'd be getting 5 points in a bad game. We're talking 400 points. The Great One was fast but went wide, not deking through entire teams. There's a reason #99 was never injured, besides the lurking presence of Cementhead.

If it goes 7, the Miami ice will be a complete joke, bank on it. In Game 5, the tampering slowed Edmonton down, and had McDavid losing an edge all over the ice. They'll be desperate and will definitely double down on "slushgate" ...with complete impunity.

Panthers in 5 was both my prediction and my wish starting the finals. I must admit I just don't know anymore. One thing is for sure in my opinion, McDavid is the Smythe winner. Bobrovsky's overall SV% has gone down too much, and no one between Tkachuk, Barkov and Verhaege stands out enough. Plus their +/- has gotten just ok. Had he got a few more points, could have been Forsling, but nah. McDavid wins it no matter where the Cup lands.

The fact that Edmonton won 5-1 and McDavid was held pointless last night is deathly worrying for the Panthers. So much history being made in this series
