I was on the card w/ OJ. At the Metroplex in LR back in like '10. Never got to meet him but saw how he treated ppl from a distance. Real dude. Solid. 💯. He was regular like everyone else. Eating from the catered food. Hot wings, fries, lol

The label found out the a insurance policy pays out more plus the labels may be invested in the funeral home and the prison system. Extortion is the key to the whole situation. You can't trust the police officer because enough money brings corruption. It's to many players in the game against the artist. He wants to live his lyrics and his family pays the price. If every artist puts the same amount of insurance on them as the label. The insurance company will force more arrest and limit the amount of money the label can put on one individual. Think if everyone running the label puts a insurance policy on one individual. Not only are they getting paid from the artist...they are getting a percentage of the prison system.

🧢 the old heads talked about killing each other also. Only different is the new rappers are richer and more accessible
@talesfromthetrenches9382

They talked about it but not like this. Let’s be real it’s way worse. And it seem like the fans are blood thirsty, if you not beefing with nobody if you don’t got the streets and a neighborhood behind you the fans don’t even wanna hear that shit. It’s almost as if we have reverted back to a gladiator blood sport. Fans really wanna see a rapper kill another rapper on camera. Ever since 2012 and chief keef came out we been wanting our rappers to be real and live what they talking about. Combine drill music along with Instagram allowing people to post videos and pics so we could really access these street artist and their friends, and we have what we have now.

It’s simple the increase of drug usage, increase of the money, increase in the high powered guns. The artist touching more money now you didn’t have everybody driving foreigns in the hood. You add social media broadcasting how much artist get per show.

OJ was spot on, but he left out something. When we were doing it, and when it came to dis tracks, we'd talk about them, their crew, them being wack, and maybe throw in a momma/girlfriend joke or gay accusation. Today, NOTHING is off limits. If someone's rival had his son kidnapped & murdered, they'd make a song about the day the body's is found and name names. I've heard a "rapper" make a dis track the day of the funeral of his rival's younger brother. Shit like that tends not to stay on "wax".

The music is toxic. You can’t talk about turning somebody to a pack and smoking on a pack. Drill music and everybody glorifying guns and violence. The music is obsessed with negativity and no morals. Everybody is trying to be hard and not back down and having guns for shooting people of the same culture.
