Dear Xavier, there is actually an old Ukrainian instrument which is called "Torban", or "Торбан". It is funnily very close to theorbo, and it has tubing pegs in the body. It is very interesting how it actually appeared, because it seems it came to Ukraine from somewhere else but it is considered a national instrument, and maybe many people don't know how similar it is to theorbo. So maybe for a lutist it would be an interesting thing. :)

no thats just a theorbo. The Torban is closer in look and size to a baroque lute(which i am guessing it might have been based on). Its a lot smaller and has strings all over its body, kind of like a mix of a lute and psaltery. The high strings act like super treble strings on a harp-guitar. I dont mean any offence, i just wanted to clarify

Señor Diaz-Latorre, an aficionado of yours, study your videos, thank you so much for the job you have been doing. I'm not discussing this particular matter, just want to put up a simple question: why didn't you do an Armenian song when Armenians came to be under that horrific attack just two years ago? A sheer nightmare, which was heroically encountered having been left ALL ALONE and when the forces were SO DISPROPORTIONAL IN EACH REGARD! You may have not been aware of that, the propaganda didn't reach you? Or it is vital to respond now and it wasn't so then? Well, ok... what else can I say.

This comment is a bit inappropriate. All wars are terrible, there's no doubt, but artists and musicians are free to express their feelings the way they can. Now some artists and musicians are also keeping silent about Ukraine, so what?

@@MrDen-lv5uj True, they are free by default. I'm not accusing. But the Russia-Ukraine case is vaaastly discussed, because it is a top important case for the Big brother. And the anti-russian state propaganda in NATO countries does its job. As I said those supporting Ukraine now probably were not aware of other cruel events in the past or happening at present, that's not there fault. My message is aside from humane support of the people it is politically motivated point to support Ukraine.

@@laberintosingeniosos OK, Señor Diaz, in that case. May I just wish you possibly consider doing an Armenian song in the future. You are not obliged to, of course. That would be YOUR tribute to the nation which has given much to the world treasury of culture and for the other nations as well. And no politics, as you has said. Thank you for what you have doing regardless of the matter.
