Why do I cry so much when I listen to this masterpiece.. Reminds me so much of my mom.. All the pain and struggles she went to through to raise me and make me who I am now.. Miss u ma :( I am sure everyone can relate it to someone who they really love.. Thank You Rahman Sir and Chitra Mam for such an amazing song!

When AR Rahman has finished composing this song, KS Chitra was to sing this song. But unavoidably, she was overseas for over three months, and she thought that he would have recorded the song with someone else. When she returned to Chennai, she got a call from ARR, saying that the song was waiting for her. This was recorded by Chitra herself. If anyone else sang this song, it would not have been just as sweet
