Did you watch the movie 'Ina Loju Ekan'? Can you all remember Okanran? In the movie 'Ina Loju Ekun', Okanran, the terrorist was captured and imprisoned. In this movie 'Okanran' the terrorist who is about to be executed, gets help from the outside world and escapes. The terror is back!

But IF you haven't seen Ina Loju Ekun, please watch so you can understand Okanran. Hope this is explanatory enough?

The Positives: 1. Great picture quality, excellent setting and costume A nice throwback to the earlier days of Yoruba cinema (Big bad rivalries: Ogunjimi vs. Abijawara; Fadeyi Oloro vs. Orisabunmi) The Negatives: 1. Weak script and little-to-no character development. 2. A very subdued tension with many hard-to-believe scenarios like the ease with which Okanran kidnaps the princess, the ease with which he killed Yinka Quadri, etc. 3. Kabieyesi is too weak for the aura he strives so unsuccessfully to command. 4. Finally, very lazy acting and directing all-round. And this is truly the fault of the director. Perhaps Mr. Adekola Focused too much on the setting he forgot to properly envision the drama and push all the actors to give their best. He struggled to rise up to the lead role, even importing elements of the brilliant but incongrous 'Sunday Dagboru' personality into a proper indigenous characterization. All of the other actors perfomed less than their best because they were not pushed hard enough including more established legends like Yinka Quadri and Ogogo. The Potentials: In my mind this could have been a classic as it evokes immediately the Shekau scenario we are presently engulfed in. I rate this 5/10 for effort. Will watch part 2 to fulfil all righteousness. Thanks Yorubahood.

So please, do watch Ina Loju Ekun first before seeing Okanran part 2 else the movie Okanran will be like a watery movie production. Thank you as we await your response on that.
