Back when music was great and lyrics were positive and inspiring. No autotune, no lip syncing, no glorification of violence or drugs or misogyny. Just pure feel good music and talent. That's what this generation is missing. Unfortunately, today's so called "music" contributes to so many of today's failings and negativity. Instead of striving to be better, many of today's youth seek to fit the mold of society's worst. Somewhere, our cultural values got turned upside down.

I'm 63 and this was the soundtrack of my high school years. We were blessed with not only fabulous music, but the abilty to disappear all evening to spend with friends, no cell phone to keep tabs on us and frankly, race relations were very good, probably as close to MLK's I Have a Dream as we have been in the last 50 years. I know people idolize their younger years, but the 70's were a great time to be a teen. Great music, cars and friends.

Yes, Sir. "Life was good back then!" You are hearing the stellar harmonies of the Bee Gees. That phenomenal singer (center) is Barry Gibb, King of Falsetto. Listen next to "Fanny Be Tender" a really soulful song or "How Deep is Your Love" Official Video. In the late 70's no group was bigger than The Bee Gees. And YES, they sounded like this in concert!

They released this one in 1978! 45 years ago. They have a ton of amazing songs, with their own unique sound. The Brothers Gibb are amazing. They had a younger brother that was a solo artist named Andy Gidd & he sounds just like them too. Check out Andy's 'Shadow dancing' Those family genes are strong. And check out more Bee Gee's. 'Stayin' alive' or 'You should be dancing' will let you see their spunky 'disco' style. The lead singer in this one & most of their songs, is Barry & he is the only one still living, however, I heard he is still performing. Amazing! They did the soundtrack for the movie 'Saturday night fever' starring John Travolta and every song is amazing. Hard to sit still when they sing their fun songs. I may be old but at least I grew up with the best music. The 60s & 70's was the best by far.

My mom introduced me to The Bee Gees when I was about 9. I'm going to be 42 in under 2 weeks. This, to me, is pure 'talented music.' Meaning no matter what age, color or race you are, this music is transcendental. This song and Tragedy are my 2 favs from them. Also, my fav Gibb bro is Barry, the high pitched on in the middle. And music don't sound like now a days b/c back then there was TALENT. There wasn't 'auto-tune', non-singing rap and poor lyrics. Music was fantastic back then because those ppl had TALENT. They didn't need to rely on anything.

I love your reaction and your spirit. No wigs. All their own hair (and teeth). Maurice (in the black shirt) was the only one who started losing his hair young. Robin (Maurice's twin) and Barry (the eldest brother in the middle) were blessed in the hair department. Also, no autotune. These guys had perfected their harmonies singing together since not long after they could speak. Dive deep into the glorious rabbit hole that is the Bee Gees' music, as well as their little brother, Andy, ... and the songs that they (particularly Barry) have written for other legends such as Diana Ross, Dionne Warwick, Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion and many others.

May I politely say here, The BeeGees were awesome, and let's give a shout out to Barry Gibb, not to many people would understand that this man actually had to outlive all of his brothers, and I don't mean brother you chose in life or who you are loyal to, but actual brothers, and be there at every funeral, Barry that insane high pitched voice is the oldest, whom actually lost his youngest brother to drugs, and the Beegess, where once again the high voice was accompanied by his amazing twin bother that made the BeeGess famous, he actually had to had to be a part of their death too. So the only thing I ask here, is please respect the music. I wish you all great love.

No autotune...just talent. Until around 1990, I listened to the radio. We even gave parties with just the radio on because the music was good and we knew radio was going to take care of us. Then they stopped allowing the radio DJ's to pick their music. It was canned and shipped to the radio stations. End of good music...beginning of factory music.

You are just now hearing this because these guys were the kings of Disco (though they made 5 decades worth of hits pre and post Disco). There was a racist/homophobic backlash against Disco in the 80's. Though they weren't black or gay, they got essentially blacklisted. Especially in the US. They had hit songs written for other great singers and hits in Europe of songs they sang after the Disco era, but US radio essentially refused to play their music. It's heartwarming to watch young people rediscover and appreciate them.

Seeing them is like having a dream come true they sound just as good in person as they did on their records, it was a concert for the ages and nobody, nobody sat down. We were mesmerized 18,000 people as one❤

The BEE BEES were the thing in the 70's.... They did the soundtrack for the Awsome movie ' Saturday Night Fever" and that is their Real Hair. Boys II Men remind me of the BEE GEES! Love them still today! Thank you for memory lane.

Great reaction ! I’m a 80’s baby / kid myself , though they were slight before my time a decade before , my parents had Bee Gees, The Carpenters ( another powerhouse group Karen’s voice ) , Earth wind , Fire , Barbara Streisand.. playing all the time . Man ,.. if ever watching 80’s movies .. it was actually just like that , like living thru “ the goonies”.. all my neighborhood friends just having fun. I was blessed to have grown up with all this gifted music that brings back my incredible childhood . Best of luck from Texas !

This song came out in 1978, the Bee Gees music was considered "disco" since they were HUGE during the 70's which was a big disco era. But they are one the best groups EVER. True talent.

The three brothers were very generous, they were the first band to ever donate all royalties from a song to UNICEF and it went to number one in 11 countries so I think it has raised 10000 pounds so far but people are still buying, they wrote this song along with two other number ones in the same day, one of the songs was for younger brother Andy

Barry "The Goat" Alan Crompton Gibb has the most profilic falsetto voice of all time and he is one of the most successful songwriters in history of music. 1135 tunes 36 #1 Hits among them monster bangers and iconic all-time classic like Night Fever, You Should Be Dancing, More Than a Woman, Stayin Alive the fifth best selling tune of all time and indeed one of the best love songs of all time How Deep is your Love you must have to check - welcome in the biggest rabbit hole of the music industry - the legendary Brothers Gibb 💪 The reasons why especially black dudes love this tunes, because it is the blackest Soul and RnB music, sung by a stylish totally high pitch voice, from the best looking dude in this time period , who looks like Prince Charming from Shrek with skinny 27" very tight jeans, female America went totally crazy when he enters the stage 😂 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/lZx9hZB2xLfeqmQ.html

And SNF soundtrack was #1 soundtrack of all time until Whitney Houston's Bodyguard, and it's still #2!! Barry Gibb is 2nd best songwriter in Guiness Book of World Records, second only to Paul McCartney. I prefer Barry over Paul, of course ❤ and their harmonies are unmatched!!

I was 13 years old when this came out in 1978. The Bee Gees were brothers. The ones on the ends were twins (Maurice and Robin). The twins have now passed away, leaving just the older brother, Barry.

Present day I'm still in AWW of their music and have passed it onto my 3 daughters and son my 19 yr old, 15 yr old, 18 yr old, and 24 yr old. They're exploring the 70" s and 80"s music now.

Most of the black reactors that I've seen react to the Bee Gees for the first time thought they were black before watching the video. Which I find a tremendous compliment. Glad to see someone as young as you enjoy fantastic music. No auto tune, actual instruments and talent all around. THAT'S what the other people were telling you. Don't get me wrong. I'm a rap fan. I'm a 51 year old white woman who's listened to rap since the late 80's. But you just can't find ANYTHING today that compares to real music and real talent
