Just in case someone hasn't mentioned this yet, physical contact of any sort is called 'skinship'. It's called that whether it's of a romantic nature, or between same-sex friends who simply are expressing their affection and comfort with each other. In Korea, if you are going to declare your romantic interest to someone, you are going to 'confess'. So if you ever see a couple of members of a guy group joking around about a girl and one suddenly says, "Oh, are you going to confess?" they're not talking about going to find a priest. 2. This is why these shows are popular in Korea. It's a big deal not just for the ones experiencing it in front of the camera, but also for the ones watching. After watching a number of Korean dramas, I've gotten to where a hug or simple kiss is really charged, just because of the big deal that it is. Bonus but unrelated: one of the things that makes me enjoy their variety shows is the sound effects/special effects that are added in editing. Just a squeaky noise over something can crack me up.

The guests actually ask them questions and they have to answer correctly so if they don't they usually hit them but I guess most of the time they hit them cos they're legit just done w/ them lol.

well the concept of the show is that they're student's and the guests are transfer students, so basically the quests ask them questions about them self sort of like to introduce them self so the hammer and asking the questions is only a segment of the show they do bunch of other stuff, kim heechul is from super junior he was an idol for 13 years now, so he's really popular and he almost knows everyone that comes to the show

Yas. Kim Heechul is my main bias in Super Junior!! He's such a savage goofball, but also can be really cool. I seriously love his crazy laugh!! Fact about my boy Heechul: He was in a horrible accident in August of 2006 when his car malfunctioned while switching lanes. He fractured his leg in 5 places and tore his tongue badly. He has iron rods in his legs and was in a wheelchair for a while, not promoting during his recovery. It wasn't until May of 2007 that he was able to get on stage and dance fully; and the remaining rods were taking out in 2008. Even today, he has issues with his legs and he takes pain killers, so he's stopped performing during dances (only appearing when most of it's over because he can't handle the pain through the whole song).... He always acts like he's fine, but he's in pain a lot and it's getting worse with age (but he's only 34). He talks about it in this Instagram Live filmed by Yesung (of Super Junior). I'll post link, so turn on CC to understand. Basically, people either say that he should be resting or they say that he's "half-assing" his performances since he usually comes on stage close to the end of the song... It makes me frustrated that people hate on him just because he's a goofy guy. Sure, he's made mistakes, but since when is everybody perfect?
