Okc definitely did not give up second most points in the regular szn. They were a top 5 defense. And they didn’t even give up 100 until the Mavs series so I think I said that oppositely

Are we talking about the guy, who inherited Durant, was able to choose Westbrook in his first draft, drafted James Harden in the next draft and was able to coax one finals trip out of the trio of Durant, Westbrook and Harden, before trading Harden for pennies on the dollar and losing Durant in free agency!? Most franchises would fire a GM for this kind of success, and I am wondering, whether once again taking this let's wait and contend in the future approach will lead to more success! Granted, Presti has amassed a nice war chest of assets, but at some point lack of roster space will make those a little worthless!

@@exilhamburger4802 1) He didnt inherit Durant, he chose to draft him. (Presti was also the GM of the Sonics) 2) He wasnt able to choose Russ, he took a huge gamble selecting him 4th overall and he got slandered and mocked for it initially. (Russ was mocked outside of top 10) 3) He traded Harden for pennies because the ownership wasnt willing to pay the tax, not his fault. 4) He made a perennial contender for Durant but his cupcake self wanted an easy way to a ring. Presti couldnt have done anything more. 5) It is possible to trade picks for others further down the road. (Something Presti has already done twice) 6) Stop with the blind hate and learn something about the topic you are talking about before you spew trash takes.

@@jacobwilliams7135 Definitely ironic. But he looks closer to 6'7" in the way that Shai looks closer to 6'4". Giddey despite his size did nothing to help with the rebounding deficit and isn't a great man-defender.

@@LennieNelson55 whatever it is, I saw several times when he was starting, all the starters were 0-10+ in plus minus, and he sticks out like a sore thumb with a -20 or so. Hell, even if you get nothing back, trade him to Utah for cash considerations or something. OKC has a lot of assets. There's no reason they can't upgrade their squad, but get rid of Giddy first.

@@LennieNelson55 dude was the 2nd best rebounder and assists in the team. And by the last few months of the regular season had one of the best 3pt%. Also lead the team when SGA and jdub were injured He's great when he's not in his own head and over thinking things.

I think if we keep everybody until a certain time to see how much they can develop before the deadline then possibly make a trade we need another big man to go alongside Chet or a back up and move Jdub to SG maybe draft a center or Pf with some rebounding and inside finishing

I think having jdub who has been our second best offensive go to option all season could develop fine as a 2 guard with length and he shot good from 3 all season he just wasn’t able to keep that level of play through the playoffs but that’s part of development

Everyone knows, hopefully even Presti, their need is size, strength, physicality, and rebounding. If they could shock the Thunder faithful and actually get this, they would be hard to beat.

Yeah see I personally think they should absolutely go for Nic Claxton and spend the money. I think that would be a great fit. He's around the same age of the core. He's almost a nightly double double - so rebounding will improve. Plus he gets around 3 blocks a game - him and Chet defending the rim would be insane. Plus, he doesn't need to score, which is perfect cause we have that in the bag already. Even if they signed him to $25 mil a year, that would still leave roughly $15 mil in cap space. Just a thought.

Yeah it's a shame because I still think he has a lot of potential but he regressed a lot this season. Has to have something to do with all the controversy. He dropped 30 against the Pels in the play in game last year but this post season he was just a liability. I kinda want them to give him his last chance this season. It's his last year on his rookie contract any way so might as well. At least until the deadline

Whats Andre Drummonds contract situation? A rebounding, shot blocking, lob threat that could play next to Chet in short minutes. He wouldnt mess up the lineup because of his inability to finish games and he is a vet off the bench...

Lopez took a dump this season. He is older and a bit slower now on his feet. If that was the 2021 Brook, then they can surely fare better against Pacers.

JW and Chet are fine 2nd and 3rd options. They need length and 3pt shooting. Klay and Lauri make so much sense for that. Could sign Klay and trade for Lauri.

Wallace will eventually usurp Giddey. He has everything you want in your fifth guy. Great 3 point shooter and defence. Also when him and Chet are in their prime you'll have two guys who are all defensive team level defenders to go with Dort who's one of the best defenders in the league. Having those three on the floor all at once will be a nightmare for any team.

You Giddey haters really don't know anything about basketball. The core of this team is Giddey, SGA, Chet and JDub. If they keep this core group of 4 together they're going to be a dynasty and win multiple championships. This core is untouchable just like the core group of KD, Westbrook, Harden and Ibaka were. We all saw what happened when Presti foolishly traded away part of that core group of 4 with Harden. It all fell apart and no championships were won when they could have won 3 or more. Giddey can NOT be traded.

I think they need to go after a big man via trade, either an absolute 2-way beast down low or a big guy that can hit a 3. Go get an All-Star like Giannis, Brook Lopez, AD, JJJ, KAT, Embiid, Bam, Markkanen, etc., so Chet can play 4 instead of 5, and JDub can play at the 3 instead of the 4, I don't care what the cost is, OKC has more first round picks next few years than they have roster spots.

As a Thunder fan since they first move to OKC, I 100% think the Thunder should make ZERO moves this offseason. Keep the exact same roster other than letting Hayward go away. Team continuity matters, stop switching things up all the time. The team is good already, just let the 21-23 year olds get more practice in this summer, let them reflect on all the crazy lessons they learned this season. The Thunder don't even need that #12 pick.

I don't really think a rookie Center is what OKC needs... Someone with a bit of experience that can go up against Chet in practice might help him develop a bit more. I still wish the Thunder didn't trade Adams away... doesn't really fit the Thunder style on the floor, but he would be good practice for Chet. @@mykaelmarshall8204

Do you know what the words free agent mean? It means players that can sign with any team they want. Duren just finished his second year of his rookie deal. Detroit would have to TRADE him, OKC can’t sign players who are on a contract.
