@@fuzzball1969 Isn't this the paradox of modern marriage? Man works his life away to provide for his family, wife complains he's not around enough (as if it were an option, he has to work constantly), and divorces him, taking his house, kids, and part of his income for a long time. It's no wonder marriage rates are plummeting, men are waking up

At the point of his divorce, he can't undo his years of neglect and success. He's still gonna be wealthy the next day even if he does have genuine regret. Do you think his wife gave him ultimatum - either you donate all your money to charity and stop working or its divorce ? No, the more I try to find a coherent bit of logic, the more I'm certain your comment does not mean anything.

@@AC-mp7cx What do you mean money “stolen”. Its shared marital income especially if the woman was doing all the cooking, cleaning and childcare. The man wouldnt be able to make that income if he was taking care of the children! Its so frustrating when all these men want housewives yet want women to take ALL the risk! It just shows you that all you care about and you only respect the one making money. Besides, there is a difference between working hard or being completely absent. No one wants to be a married single mother especially if they work too. There will ALWAYS be a point of diminishing returns on your work hours. You absolutely do not need to work so hard for a very long time to the point you never see your kids or wife. I would NEVER want to be with a workaholic. It defeats the purpose of being in a relationship.

Hell yeah but it’s easier if you have peace of mind. This is why I advise people to really spend time on themselves. Improving their lives while figuring out what actually makes them happy. When you have peace of mind you tend to attract a partner with it as well.. Or a certain high level of thinking.. So it’s more of y’all coming to an agreement if you were to break up and it’s no hard feelings whatsoever. Still hard but not nearly as hard as someone taking the little peace you had with them away. If that makes sense.

@@seroogyw6238 sure, but what he said is valid. Billionaires work a ton. They often have to travel around the world and constantly oversee their enterprises. Of course you won't be able to see your family as much when you're traveling and working like that. The world isn't black and white. You can have everything you've ever wanted in the realm of materialism, and still be unhappy. Materialism is nothing. No one will remember you for your cars and mansions when you die. They will remember you based on the time they spent with you. The memories you formed together... if you spend no time with the people in your life, what will they remember you for? Nice cars? A private jet? I doubt anyone wants to just be remembered for that.

Someone with a heated driveway can get an extra hour of sleep over the guy who has to shovel. Someone who can afford regular dental cleanings won’t need to get a root canal. I could go on for days. He kept telling me to, “have a seat nephew.” I was in such a rush to go about my day. Later I thought about it and felt like a piece of shit. I went back and he was sitting in the same place on his porch watching the cars go by. His kids don’t seem to feel bad about never checking on him either. I guess sometimes we all just get lost in stuff that doesn’t really matter. Looking back, I made the same mistake with my father. “Permanent lasting consequences,” was a good way of putting it.
