Until I looked out and saw his name tag and asked him if I could help him, before I opened the door. AII my neighbors know I'm armed too. I'm not a trigger happy Iunatic so they know I don't shoot first and ask questions Iater, but they know I take no chances. Most of them message me first so everything ends peacefully. I'm not someone who Iives in fear either, so I don't make hasty decisions without knowing what's up. I aIso Iive across the road from the woods and wiId animaIs Iike bears Iive there. You have to be ready for anything, but as a rationaI gun owner, be very careful about not using your weapon except as a Iast resort. If someone or several someone's had ski masks on and were armed, weII I have just the thing for that situation. That means that for 3 guys you might very well need 15 shots and that’s assuming that 1 bullet that hits them each kills instantly (and the .223 AR-15 is often ridiculed for its anemic rounds). So yeah, a 30 round magazine and statistically if you match a cop then hopefully you hit 2 shots on each attacker, personally, I would value a family members life at more than $10... Id even consider $20 to be worth saving someone’s life (and that would be duel wielding 100x 9mm pistols, with a fury of protection of 200 rounds being sent down range because are you such a cheapskate that you’d only load $1 of ammo and be like “well I guess if a rapist gets to your daughter, or a murderer to your son then I guess they deserve to live if I can’t hit them just a few shots...” (nobody is that cheap, there is no excuse to penalize law abiding citizens and give criminals the advantage, no excuse)

You got the largest artery in your body in you legs, if the bullet doesn’t hit it, you’ll probably hit a bone and then those razer sharp bone fragments can cut an artery. Plus, arms and legs move around fast, so it’s much safer to hit someone center mass. Much safer for all involved, except of course the bad guy.
