OU's offensive line started 8 players last year. 2 of those that made some starts are back (Sexton and Everett). Now a bit of trivia, how many schools have more offensive linemen currently in the NFL than Oklahoma? The answer is zero. In PFF's ranking of NFL offensive linemen going into this season the #1, #2 tackles and the #1 center are former Bedenbaugh players. That is why so many OU fans aren't overly worried about the offensive line. It won't be the strength of the team but we don't believe it will be the weakness everyone seems to think. OU will be 9-3 or 10-2.

4 of the 5 starting OL leaving went to the draft... And Midzou through the bag at the fifth through transfer portal. We not worried about OL, we always have high draft turn over, but arguably the best OL coach in college football. Only questions OU fans have is at TE. Tempo management, constantly running RPO, and tightening up between the 20's, special teams.... And finding a kicker, any kicker. And lastly if Jackson Arnold can get his timing dialed in to a faster college ball and get comfortable before the meat of the schedule. And truthfully most fans not overly worried about any of these outside of finding a kicker, we down bad in that area. Now, as far as your predictions... We aren't loosing to texASS we beat them 7 out of the last 9 years... We not loosing to midzou we have historically made them our punching bag. And we have one of the highest at home win percentages in the entire county... So I am optimistic that TN also has new QB coming to our Palace. I expect Bama to have a slight step back. And by the time we get to our hardest environment or new OL and JA will have their feet under them. Not saying we go undefeated but I expect us to go 10-2 at worse 9-3... and Tuck Fexas!

A few notes, OU has the 2024 #1 running back out of high school coming in and playing this year in Taylor Tatum. Also, Bill Bedenbaugh is widely known as the top offensive line coach in the country. Lastly, for the past 24 years, in the Big 12, OU has been everyone's Super Bowl week-in and week-out and get their best shot. This is nothing new for OU as you seem to subscribe to. Even the Kansas and other schools alike are not welcoming and if OU came in over-confident, they would be in a tough fight until the end. OU knows how to play in those games when applying your Auburn example.

I see a lot of talk about how much tougher the SEC is over everyone else week-in and week-out. I just do not buy it. Statistically, the Big 12 has had the highest scoring dogfight type games week in-and week-out. I am not saying that the big 12 is the best conference at all. I am also not saying that OU is the best team this year. I would be very happy if they went 9-3 for example. I am just saying, the defense will not have as many high pressure defensive battles against high scoring offenses week-in and week-out. It was as-if many of those Big 12 defenses are playing 2 games in one in terms of offensive plays against? Something that the SEC for sure cannot say and are probably 4th on the list of all of the conferences in that respect? What if it is a welcomed change for OU to not have to be in a dog fight aerial battle every week and they end up doing very well due to their past experience from the Big 12? I just think that there needs to be a wait and see attitude instead of the pretentious, we are the best attitude that most SEC fans have over other conferences and that OU has no idea how o be prepared or this. Note that I am also an OU fan and we are joining the conference.

The deal with their line thats concerning to me. Its kinda "peaced together" and their schedule ? Tuff ! Are the DBs can be good . And LBs can stop the run . I think Arnold is GREAT. Sawchuck will need 700..800 yrd season to win 7 or 8 in this SEC . TUFF Schedule! *Texas has Way easier schedule .
