I have the tekton picks. Broke one at work and took a picture. Submitted the claim while I was writing up the job. Only took a minute to submit a claim on their website. Had a replacement in my mailbox a couple days later

I like that the tekton pry bars have 50° angle, It's nice to have a variety of different pocket pry bar angles. I find myself needing ones with a steeper angle sometimes. I need to get the matco 55 degree pocket pry bar. Shame lang doesn't sell that one outside of matco.

Great tool Tuesday update. I like knife that uses utility blades when I'm in the shop. Personally I carry Shrade LB5 since 1982.

😮 i also have gotten in the habit of just staging my lights with lockout kits, in go bags, at high traffic entry or exit ways. Recently, I even left my legacy streamlight with the LED upgrade just magnetized under the bed cause I know stuff will roll down there when its dark😅. Too many lights? Maybe. But none of the rechargeable cells have died and its been well over a decade for that oldest streamlight. Glad I'm not alone.

Bro totally agree on my lighting! I have the Matco (Astro Rebrand) recharging base with headlight, flash light and flood light the pro charge in my hutch. Then in my pickup i have a streamlight pocket mate in the cup holder at all times. Then, as my hey my dogs ran to the woods need some light to track those crazy fuckers down i have a rechargeable LED Lenser on a docking station in my glove box. Having a couple good versatile lights is everything! Great points

Thanks CP enjoy the new tools. Since you mentioned pry bars I picked up a 3 piece set by Masterforce from Menards made in the USA. Do you know who actually makes them? I remember back in the day when Menards carried Allen tools then switched to Masterforce which was just rebranded Allen made in the USA. Then Allen went out of business along with Armstrong and other great companies. I miss the Armstrong ratcheting combination wrench it was made in the USA, it had a longer shaft then the Craftsman and the material around the ratcheting end was thinner allowing better access. Have a good day CP.

I ordered the Mayhew ones they felt like they were going to break i returned them and ordered the Texton 1/4 in one's and soon as I picked up the package from Amazon I could tell that these were much better the Weight alone. Them Msyhew ones felt like a toy. I think I rather have the 30° and straight one the 50° is a little much

Hey CP, I could be wrong, but that Thrunate Saber might also take a standard alkaline AA instead of using the USB-C rechargeable it comes with. It'll produce less output, but it's nice to have that option if it does accept a regular AA. Great video!

The new Mayhew screwdriver handles are tri-lobe. I bought the new Channellock rebranded of the 6-1 driver to try out and the quality is nice ( the previous acetate handle CHANNELLOCK was nicer) but it confirmed my dislike of tri-lobe handles. The handle material also seems kind of soft too. The tekton screwdriver handles are miles and away superior. I love the little handles mayhew uses on the picks and mini pry bars though, I shortened one of my Mayhew mini pry bars ( pull the handle, trim the back off the shank and reassemble) and it fits great in my pocket organizer .

I love Tektons screwdrivers and picks but I expect my pry bars to have a square shank, they are American made and affordable with a great handle though so that's definitely something. I'm not going to trash talk the lisle pry bars or anything, but they're just not American made which matters to me. Aside from the COO and handle material they seem to be putting the best thought into them and listening to customers which is great. I'd give the chintzy clip a pass because that's basically industry standard, but I believe people would be willing to pay up for the Lisles if they were made here.

Good luck on usa made stuff one thing youtube has taught me no matter how much I love usa made stuff this country is done with tool manufacturing thats a fact you can bitch and complain about it all you want I've done it for 3yrs but I can promise you the days are numbered as long as our labor laws are as restricted as they are I get where your coming from and I am passionate as well but even the usa made stuff is sketch especially from Tekton. For good sake, they are laser cutting and chrome plating wrenches they are horrible compared to Forging in Taiwan. Tekton is very sub par tools at best.

@@CPthetooladdict it's only done when we give up, it's a pretty cynical attitude to just hand our industrial independence over to Taiwan and China without a fight.

Sure bud, keep telling yourself that I am way deeper in the industry than you are, and you aren't fighting like I have. You just babble in a comment section that does jack all. So keep pretending you are leading it because I have hrs of my time lobbying to companies begging to make things here don't talk to me like you know when you don't know squat bud I have the papers to prove my work where is yours?

@@CPthetooladdict I can continue buying American made as much as possible while avoiding the imported products from American manufacturers , that's all any average person can do because my comments and my dollars are the only tools I have in pushing for American manufacturing.
