@@guest-590 Unfortunately, around here Portuguese classes are tough to find since it isn’t a “main” language. There are apps to learn though!

Nort Hitora that's true, but we say the same thing about Spanish (for us it also sounds like a drunk, who caught a flu, version of Portuguese hahaha, still Spanish is a beautiful language tho). Also I really think that the language has the same cadence of Eastern Europe languages (while traveling there I always thought they were speaking Portuguese at some times but they weren't, haha).

I think what he means is that some people don't consider Brazilian Portuguese actual Portuguese but its own language or just that it is very different and he'd like to learn the Portuguese they speak.

I am Brazilian, and Portuguese from Portugal is completely different than the Brazilian way to write and speak. Portuguese people use very often the second personal pronom "tu", we Brazilians do not. Verbs are the same but some nouns and slang words have different meanings and the accent is not the same at all. You can compare as American and British English: same language but with peculiar differences.

I totally agree. It would be awesome to show something that is not shown very often. I am living in one of the northern states of Brazil (near to the Amazon jungle), then living here, my reality is completely different . I'm willing to show that living here is not what it may seem.

Em Porto Alegre as pessoas são meio mais fechadas do que o resto do Brasil (a região sul em geral). Para ter toda experiência acho melhor você visitar outros lugares tbm... (traducing..: In Porto Alegre the people are not as receptive as the people from other regions in Brazil (the region South in general), so I think u should visite other places to get the full experience...) (just a suggestion)

My home town! I live in the US now, and I so miss doing the really São Paulo (paulista) stuff, like ending the day with a pizza from the local pizza joint or having a pastel and caldo de cana for lunch during a busy day. That is real SP culture and customs! Saudades. Great video, thanks.

Good to see Brasil in Flama more times. I would like to brazilians to have more contact with the others countries latino americanos. :) I want to learn spanish - I'm studying alone - because I find an amazing language and want to get more contact with our continent and the people around Brasil. And my dream is to go to Argentina. I love Argentina since I was more young. I don't know why kkkk And despite the fact that I'm brazilian, to be honest I never really travel around Brasil. I was just thinking today how I missed these "hello from" segments and here it is today, I visited Sao Paolo and felt a very similar vibe and look to LA. Like any metropolis it's got it's good and bad, over all a good experience. Just as a fun fact they told me while down there that Sao Paolo had the most Restaurants per capita in Latin America, can any one verify this?

We have racism here, I know, but never felt it against me. My ancestors were European, indigenous, African AND Asian. Most of the population here has the same ancestry.

O metro quadrado mais caro da América Latina? Mas a cidade mais cara do Brasil quanto a metragem é o Rio (e isso fica bem claro pesquisando imóveis na internet comparando kkkk). Quanto a bairros os dois mais caros são na região portuária de Buenos Aires e no Rio em Leblon/Ipanema.

Susana I. Gonzalez every city has dangerous areas. she just live in a good part of the city. São Paulo have favelas just like Rio but the geography of the city is different so they are not in hills. (sorry for the bad english)

You are right, I lived 10 years in São Paulo and I never saw a favela, and I walked everyplace in the city. I was walking 2 AM in Sao Paulo's downtown and was alot polices everywhere, but of course, like any huge city has dangerous places which its very far from downtown.

Renaldo Smith I went Sao Paulo for the world cup in 2014. I went by myself as well. It seemed very safe and modern. highly recommend you visit Brazil.

Like any big city and more so in Latin America it depends a lot on the neighborhood you are in, I was there about 3 years ago and was completely safe to walk around at night. Never the less you have some rough patches, southern Brasil is know as the safest area in the country (Curitiba, etc.)
