A very dreamy reaction 😴! Am I Dreaming was released as the second single from Ol' Skool's self titled 1998 debut album. It was written by Sam Dees and produced by Keith Sweat. It reached #5 on the R&B chart and #31 on the Hot 100. The music video was directed by Keith Sweat and featured appearances from Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes and Datari Turner. According to Jason Little, Am I Dreaming came together because of Keith Sweat. "Basically, it was going to be Keith and Xscape. But Keith Sweat had loss Silk. Whatever happened with Silk, he wanted another group and he got, Ol’ Skool. It was cut with them and somewhere along the line I guess Keith Sweat said, I got a group coming out, I’m gonna cut it on the group. That’s really how that came about. It was all Keith Sweat. The whole song, his idea… that was his thing. He's the one put the group on it. Which to me was a brilliant idea. That was cool." Ol' Skool was a R&B group from St Louis, Missouri that consisted of Jason Little (vocals), Jerome "Pookie" Lane (vocals), Tony Herron (vocals), Curtis Jefferson (vocals, bass) and Bobby Crawford (vocals, drum programming, keyboards). Their bio lists 5 group member even though there are only four group members present in the Am I Dreaming music video and on both of their album covers. After putting out their debut single: Set You Free, in late 1997, they were discovered by Keith Sweat, who executive produced and guest appeared on their 1998 debut album: Ol' Skool. The group then released a follow-up album: R.S.V.P., in 2000 but broke up soon after that due to various reasons. Unfortunately, as per group member Jason Little, Keith Sweat allegedly ripped the group off then stalled their careers out after singing them to a production deal.
